Not entirely true. While Anonymous might not be judging your exact post history, he frequently assumes your identity to be one of the various groups/individuals he doesn't like - which in many cases is someone who is new, an outsider, a shill, etc.

I personally prefer to post anonymously, but I don't think everyone posting as "Anonymous" is what makes imageboards good. I'd opt for a friendly atmosphere with pseudonyms over a hostile atmosphere with "anons" any day - when I arrived at Heyuri in 2020, it was much more the former

I'm with you on that. I connected with some special people on early /jp/ because of the name and trip culture it once had. Normals use anonymity to escape their social media accounts. That is the only use anonymous imageboards have to them, i.e., the imageboard part of it is of comparatively little value to them. More and more, posters don't even use images, and when they do, they might attach some awful image they saved on their phone from some mega-popular website. No proper filename, folder organization, cultural impact, or OC....
Technically speaking, it isn't even about pure anonymity to them. Anonymity is just a way for them to circumvent censorship. If there were no censorship, they would have never been interested in being anonymous. For them it is merely the only viable counter-action. They openly say as much "elsewhere" (4chan.)"Everywhere else is shit. There's nowhere else to go." They seem to think anonymous imageboards are forums as well. Maybe some people would technically consider all boards a type of forum, but that's not what I'm talking about — my point is that imageboards are becoming much more popular, and newer people barge in without the slightest clue what they are; "imageboard" does not even seem to be a term in their vocabulary, so they just use forum as a substitute.

Rule 7 is there for a reason, and largely to keep "culture war" fags out of Heyuri. That includes both /pol/acks and SJW-types

i can't exactly remember. i don't think they did. after the chimera ant arc, he hasn't been mentioned since, and i don't recall if the manga went into more detail than the anime did in the scenes he was in, it's been a while since i've read. he might end up coming up again later on, but who knows. it won't be for quite a while i can tell you that. the arc that's happening now is really interesting though. i can't wait to see if what happens on the ship is as drastic as i think it's going to be. togashi doesn't usually disappoint in that regard. he finally started publishing chapters again after a couple years. said it was gonna happen last year, but ended up starting up again in october this year i think it was. i've only read one of them so far, i should really check up again.

overall the current arc is pretty boring, and the writing is kind of lackluster in my eyes at most parts, but the anticipation for what will happen keeps me intrigued. though there are two characters who i find very interesting, the scenes involving them and their relationship in general is like a horror story. theta and the prince she is working with. that is one sinister motherfucker. i don't know if that's exactly spoilers, but just in case.

one one hand it would give me some peace knowing he truly reincarnated and the kite we got isnt just a clone or mish mash of people who happen to have kite's memories, on the other hand though its all so vague that it feels like it was put in the manga/anime because the mangaka regretted killing him off
also i recall kurapika saying that you cant use nen to conjure things like a sword that can cut through anything, cheating death is a VERY powerful thing, so much that id argue it would fall under the "cant do with nen" category
