I experimented with not using any conditioner or shampoo for my hair (just water) and it works way better for me. I haven't used anything in my hair for a year or two now. thats probably some of the problem for me, because i feel like showering is such a waste of time and its useless..if i dont stink or am covered with dirt or itchy whats the point..i always think i could be doing better things and when someone tells me to shower i get annoyed
