I came back to my 16 tb drive and the terminal started puking out lots of write errors, dead sectors but I don't want it to die, smart says it got cancer

I dropped my unscrewed thinkpad and broke off some inductive part a month ago and I can't solder it back in so I got a new one until I figure out how to do it without frying all the silicon, such a sad loss

And now my beloved drive is leaving me for our Father!? No no no :cry:
I will investigate! But first I must back up lolis if it suddenly b0rkz

If it breaks completely I will feed it firecracker pills for good health and amusement of heyurizens
I hope it doesn't though, do you have dead sector drives that lived long after getting diagnosed with HDD AIDS?

Wait, is it like one of those flintlocks from the 1800s? I'm assuming you're not handloading brass cartridges, so that's the only use for gunpowder I can think of :smile:.

The only other thing I can suggest is to microwave itz but that will probably blow up the microwave as well :rolleyes:.
