Hi the story I wrote got deleted cuz I forgot stories of the nature I wrote werent allowed on Heyuri. But after seeing this I went through an entire thing trying to remember the name of the song and quickly remembered I had done the same thing last year and it was the simpsons episode with sideshow bob on his way to kill bart on the boat. But it sounded a lot like a face off in one of the matrix movies.

Problems with a resource based economy:

1. All resources being fully controlled by government bodies would immediately lead to tyranny by teh governments, as evidenced by A. Common sense. B. Every single example of Communism in history.

2. I don't think so. This is an argument always parrotted, but there are more aspirations to life than "just make money to survive".
You can still be the best, the most respected, the most knowledgable person. It would just take the stress off people who don't have those aspirations in the first place. Things have been invented by humanity since its inception. Maybe you just want to find something that makes something easier or more comfortable or more readily available.
Kinda simple to say that "if people are not slaves to money everyone would just sit on his fat ass and look into the air 24/7".

3. The age of technology and self-govering systems make it possible. Add in the rising of AI and you don't have to have lots people ravaging through tons of paper everyday to get something done within a governing body.

Why? Your point was management activity.
Like making a decision based on rules if somneone gets money or not.
Not the creation of the rules themselves. That is done beforehand and by humans.
Why can't a machine do a menial task such as a predetermined decision based on facts? You can have a real person be held accountable for the veracity of those machine decisions. In fact the very same thing is happening already with any big internet platform. Sure there will be some returns where people dispute a decision. But let's say you get the money you want, are you gonna file a complaint? Probably not. For all those decisions a human isn't neccessary, after the fact of deciding how that decision is meant to be made.
It's just all about how WELL DESIGNED that decision making process is.

My 12 year old son came to me (dad) really embarrassed yesterday and said he wet the bed. I said okay and that we could strip the bed and put it in the washing machine. It didn’t look like a pee spot to me though so I asked “you sure you peed?”

He starts crying a little bit and says “no this white stuff came out.” Oh boy. We’ve had a version of “the talk” but I kept it high level and did not cover wet dreams. I asked him if he knew what it was and he said “the stuff to make babies with I guess. I forget the word.” I said yeah but went into detail more about wet dreams and things with proper terminology.

He says “I just want it to stop. It’s like hard all the time and I can’t get it to go away and it’s so annoying and now I’m making this mess which is gross and I just want it all to stop I hate it.” He’s still partially crying.

I say “have you ever heard of [the m word]?” He says “I don’t know. Like kinda.” I say “well some people find touching or rubbing themselves down there feels really good and it can help relieve some tension and may make wet dreams less frequent since the stuff comes out another way. But everyone is different. It’s normal and safe in moderation. But it is a private activity. You should keep it to yourself.”

He said “I like kinda did that but nothing came out. Maybe I can try again.” I just said that was a private decision and up to him. I’ve never cringed so hard in my life but I tried to stay calm.

Today he comes to me and says “sorry about yesterday. Thanks for not freaking out on me. I guess I should’ve known all that.” I told him he had nothing to be sorry about and he was fine. He said “can we pretend that like that never happened?” I chuckled and said sure. He gave me a quick hug and ran away.

Yeah since Garloid farms aren't heavily subsidized, minor errors in the production process can really kill the price. There has been a disease going around for Garloids where it doesn't show any affect on the outside until they die, making it almost impossible to detect at the moment.

The ease of Garloid production compared to other meats is offset by stuff like this. They are notoriously difficult to keep entirely healthy until they're ready. They also like to try to crawl up the farmers' asses and most don't like that. :glare:
