Not violent stories where everyone dies or gets maimed or something trite like that, but when things are emotionally strained or people who should be happy aren't. I hated that Arakure Ojousama wa Monmon Shiteiru was scratching that itch for me for the longest time, but then the guy had to be a fag and ruin it.
