How do i plan reflection refraction translucency on this pic, or any other similarly. basically the values, but, more complexly

Also how to, keyframe, inbetwen animation as correctly, to physics, maybe in simplest ways, like those of cartoons (batman tas etc) and everything from limbs tandem, cycles, idles, even characterizations and blending two motions idk.
\
also maximizing it to, maybe 6 digit traffics.

Idk where your other post went, but in general it just kinda feels like youre asking about general animation skills. Thats just something that comes with study and practice, maybe make a short few animations to try and practice with. Like that "make a ball bounce across a screen", a classic beginner animation that can teach you pacing and a little about physics if you try to make impact frames for when it hits the wall.

You're not gonna just learn everything there is to know about animation overnight, but its a skill most anybody can learn if you have enough time, patience, and interest to practice and study.

...why are you bumping this?

Also does anyone know what the red AS in the OP means. Is it related to that +Yeah! feature? Seems like more red text is on here since I last looked at the site.

Oh. Well now I know what the red SAGE! I saw on another post means I guess lol

>across a screen
i went to school for that but it's either traced or if its not, i dont get anything from it.
Same like you unable to describe it into a simple 1+1, i suppose.

>overnight
im not the overconfident motivator either so either math or none at all to study(more like, remember) clearly.

>general animation skills
...im not sure what you are talking about. if you have to try here and there for correctness, then there is no skill for it then, doesnt it?

I was gonna title it something like "haven't been on heuri in a while, I've missed you guys!", but found this pic while trying to decide what pic to attach and was posessed with Jiji's silly energy LOL

Anyway, I only ever posted as Anonymous before, but I got scared off the site for a bit. Saw something weird, but as I was asking le compoter about how 4chan works (I was under the impression it was some kind of illegal site tbh), I was reminded of heyuri. And if its not actually illegal to go on 4chan then I'm guessing its not illegal to go on here, even when sometimes the posts are weird?? Idk lol

I've been thinking of being online more to socialize more. I miss being in cringy fandom spaces...!! (´;Д;`)

I finally got caught up on the Dan Da Dan anime yesterday, not sure what to watch next... ah, I also watched a little of Re: Cutie Honey with my friend, that show is so zany LOL! Kinda reminded me of the bits and pieces I've seen of Panty & Stocking, but more oldschool.

I also recently found a world on VRChat that emulates the world from Sword Art Online!! I never watched the og show tbh but I enjoyed the abridged series a few years back LOL. Anyway, its cool because most VRChat worlds are like... basically just big fancy set pieces with nothing to do, but a guy sent me on a quest to get some herbs for his injured knee! And then I decided to fight a bee, nearly died, and couldn't figure out how to drink a potion LMFAO it was great. Every failed attempt tp drink the potion just reminded me of the girl (Asuka? I think?) not being able to figure out how to eat in SAO Abridged LMFAO

there are probably lots of other things you think are illegal that aren't and you're missing out on them

I did think that certain ships were illegal for a few years, and then I suddenly realized "wait but these same "illegal" ships are in officially produced and licensed animes, so if they were illegal, wouldn't those not be able to be published?!"

Really doesnt help when I try to ask my friend if she'd be mad if I shipped something weird, and she just replies with "as long as its not illegal", I don't think anything fictional is illegal where I live! But its also, like, if I tell someone I think selfcest is silly fun, are they gonna claim thats illegal? (I ask hypothetically, but I did actually see on twitter years ago, someone tried to cancel someone else for shipping sora and roxas. Lmao.)
>>
>>1510
i think communities just say ships some are illegal cause theyre ignorant. And ignorant misinformations get pushed around as fact.

Teh truth is that age-gap ships, or ships between underage characters arent illegal, even though it might be socially taboo.
Too many fan communities get very wound up about fictional underage characters and policing ppls ships.
Bottom line is you do you. if you have some character ship that works for you, enjoy it. Dont let other people tell you what you can or cant like. :nyaoo-closedeyes:

Even so, fan communities are rabid dogs, and admitting your controversial fantasies to pitchfork wielding peasants is probably a bad idea.

remember that time some girl tried to commit sepukku after getting flamed by tumblr steven universe people for drawing "thin rose quartz"?
>>
>>1513
SERIOUSLY
And I swear I saw hs fans trying to get a writer fired because they wrote stridercest fanfic when they were a teen?? As I remember it, the writer was anonymous to begin with, so they didn't even have proof!

Either that or the supposed proof got buried in the twitter screeching mobs, but still, its a dumb thing to try and get someone fired over!

Since it is now proven that 4chan is essentially a federal bot farm and IP/post history logging platform the only option for chansite users is altchans, I predict there will be an exodus of traffic out of 4chan from the braindead users of that site into other websites. This is bad: ideally Heyuri should filter out the fedposting and phoneposting election tourists who discovered 4chan ~2015 who make up the majority of 4chan. I doubt 4chan users will discover this website easily. There was already a growth surge here and it is more likely that they will migrate to other altchans than this one, given that most of the election tourists hate loli. Who knows what will unfold. Hopefully 4chan users will stay in their dead federal surveillance botfarm and suffer, but I can see that cancer spreading and it should be contained somehow, the best way as I see it is to keep 4chan users ignorant and contained to their shitty website forever. It is a FBI honeypot made for the election tourists who should ideally be contained there forever as an internet jail cell.

>That's why the top boards are either related to mainstream entertainment (games and tv shows) or politics
No, it's because those are the most popular things people are into. You can't actually believe that every network head has people assigned to shilling their ten-million-dollar production TV show on 4chan of all places
>he boards unrelated to those topics are what every imageboard outside of 4chan is: random threads with 10-50 replies at best.

An interesting take I've seen is that (if we take America as a prime example,) the 20th Century was divided into two parts representing phases of capitalism, the earlier part being a high point for 'producer' capitalism, industrial growth and material reform (like the New Deal) and that the later part of the Century was the final emergence of 'consumer' capitalism with the transition to a service economy, industrial outsourcing, and cultural reform (like the 'Swinging' Sixties or the Counterculture).

One very interesting strain of thought I've encountered as part of this perspective is the idea that the emergence of modern youth culture, counterculture, and all the various subcultures, rather than being an act of rebellion was merely an act of market segmentation. Market segmentation is a key idea here which basically just means that different people have different wants and thus the things they are sold and the style of marketing towards them must vary. PepsiCo is noted to have revolutionized this concept with their idea of the 'Pepsi Generation':

'The epic battle of Coca-Cola and Pepsi is the best-known illustration of the change in which uniformity quite literally gave way to diversity. Over the first half of the 20th century, Coke built an unrivaled dominance of the once-localized soft-drink market-
place: it offered a single product that was supposed to be consumable by people in every walk of life: rich and poor, old and young, men and women and in every part of the country. It was the "brand beyond competition," with a single, zealously guarded formula and a single container size that was supposed to be adequate for everyone. Pepsi's rise during the 1960s, more than any other single event, signaled the arrival of the segmented market. By appealing to youthfulness and the young as a philosophy and a people apart from the values associated with Coca-Cola, Pepsi transformed itself quickly into a competitor to be reckoned with. The
ensuing "Cola Wars" have had much less to do with the rival companies' actual products than with the "psychic benefit" promised by each, with the war of symbolism in which both have invested so much.'

The idea then is that the underlying concept of market segmentation behind the notion of the 'Pepsi Generation' spread to other groups and towards other goals but was ultimately not a rebellion against consumer capitalism but an extension and unconscious application of its logic, because consumer capitalism naturally encourages cultural diversity in order that more people are appealed to and more products are sold:

"At its most advanced stages, according to business writers, this new
species of marketing is concerned with nothing other than the construction of consumer subjectivity, as manufacturers and advertisers attempt to call group identities into existence where before there had been nothing but inchoate feelings and common responses to pollsters' questions.

About this rather startling point Ted low is completely candid. "Segmentation based not on logistics or on some genuine product characteristics
but on demographic and psychographic groupings carved out of the general population is an invention of late twentieth-century American marketing," he writes.

The old fragmentation was based on realities [primarily geographic], but this new segmentation springs wholly from the imagination of the marketer. Pepsi and other such companies have been more interested in the term segment as a verb than as a noun. They have segmented markets, rather than merely responded to a market segment that already existed. There was no such thing as the Pepsi Generation until Pepsi created it."

It is significant that the market element utilized in (or invented by)
Pepsi's ur-segmentation was youth. Before the 1960s, young people had
always been an established part of marketing and a staple image in advertising art, largely because of their still unformed tastes and their position as trend leaders. This was especially true in the 1920s. But during the 1960s, this standard approach changed. No longer was youth merely a "natural" demographic group to which appeals could be pitched:suddenly youth became a consuming position to which all could aspire.

"Pepsi not only recognized the existence of a demographic segment," observed marketing historians Stanley Hollander and Richard Germain,
"but also in essence manufactured a segment of those who wanted to feel
youthful." The conceptual position of youthfulness became as great an

Surely there are some countercultures that didn't originally start as some way to market a product, even if later on they got subsumed into it. You did mention something about punk and hippies becoming market symbols, which seems like how counterculture eventually "becomes" culture? I'm not sure where I'm going with this point....

There is something to be noted about internet subcultures that are commonly referred to as "aesthetics" or "-core" though. I'm not too familiar with this but I heard of words such as "cottagecore" and "old money" in the context of fashion...
>>
it depends on the counter cultures relation to capital and through that spectacle. hegemonic culture is the ideas of the prevailing order, the symbolic that maintains the order of capitalism. "counter culture" is as you say, maketing demographics, a relation to spectacle, thus the commodity, thus production, exactly because it exists to obscure relations of production, the real. the answer then is "counter-hegemonic culture" which exists entirely to bring to the front relations of production, to show that another world is possible, to demonstrate solidarity, and to build class consciousness. if you havent already (it seems like probably already have but for others interested in the topic) you should read some pieces from Gramscis prison notebooks, Society of the Spectacle by Debord, and Simulacra and Simulation by Baudrillard. Also, i havent read them yet but intend to, History and Class Conciousness by Lukacs and The System of Objects again by Baudrillard
>>
>>15402
A great book to read if you are specifically interested in the question of post 60s Counterculture specifically is the one I've pulled quotes from: "Conquest of Cool" by Thomas Frank.
>>
I've always said that generations are just horoscopes for people who watch too much TV. Of course you can't have a counter culture without a culture to counter. Today's counter-cultures are pretty lame just from their having to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find a culture to counter; e.g., today's counter cultures consist of trade workers and people who use the Internet differently than other people. It's just stuff that was normal 20 years ago. I think with years of pop culture being created, dissected, and faked in all different ways, all culture has become is wading around in the rubbish pile of things that came before. I think it's part of a larger effort to drive away any meaningful cultural differences between people to make them economically replaceable, but that's for a different topic.

Society of the Spectacle is an exercise in stating the patently obvious.

I had a dream last night that I was using heyuri last night. In this dream, there existed a special feature. You could invite another user to participate. There were two panes. On the top, there was a live chat to communicate with the other person, and below, was the shared window. This is where the activity took place. In my dream, it was programming; but I suppose it could be anything else with text, or even drawing.

It could be competitive or cooperative. I suppose in the competitive mode it might be a good idea to have two separate windows for each user and not one that both can edit. I believe also in my dream that others could view it and post to the chat but not edit the shared window.
