to alleviate the AI generation thing, should AI content threads be relegated to one specific thread as a rule? /l/ is almost exclusively AI now and is virtually unbrowsable (not to mention it's always metaforced into threads where noone asked for it at all), make it so it all has to go into one thread and then it can be hidden by the user if they so wish

I have a bunch of philosophy books but I've only read a few. I'd recommend reading the classics. I just finished The Consolation of Philosophy by Boethius and I'm part of the way through Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle.

I bought some more modern stuff like Beyond Good and Evil by Nietzsche and The Myth of Sisyphus by Camus but I wanna get through the classics first.

Also, I'd highly recommend reading religious texts. They are very easy to get your hands on and are well worth the time.

I just finished reading this book after being aware of its existence for quite some time. I once saw it being enthusiastically praised on /lounge/ (or maybe 4-ch.net). I enjoyed getting a glimpse of how life used to be in late 1960s japan, but I thought it read too much like an eroge at parts. The MC is exactly like an eroge protagonist: stoic, quiet, smart, exceptionally good at pleasing women, and had even amassed himself a harem by the end of the novel. It felt a bit masturbatory, too. But like I said, it was enjoyable, I didn't hate it or anything, just felt a bit juvenile. What did you guys think?

I read 4-5 of Murakamis bookz and really do like him. While this book was my first of him, my memory is a little faint to remember most of its content. I did enjoy it whatsoever. His writing is easy and his story is some what realism-magical. I can say that this was imo teh worst book if him i read and my fav would be The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle.
