i find parasites that can control/influence minds interesting
there's a fungus for ants that makes them "hang" themselves on leaves as soon as cows pass by but will otherwise let them do their thing undisturbed
that's just a damn fungus! it probably doesnt even "know" its making the ants do that, like it just happened to evolve in a way that makes it release whatever specific chemical that just so happens it makes ants do that when they see cows
