Hello and welcome, to another edition of the IVU!
Yes, the IVU. It's that one time of the month, where we get to take a look at the fermentation process of my sister's throw up. Oh, and Osaka :sweat2:
As you can see, the barf is even darker than last month. It seems each time I bring the cup back up from the dark depths, it gets darker and stinkier. Also there's more of those red.. boogery looking spots?
I moved the barf around carefully before I put it back, so I could get a better view of Osaka, and she's shimmerin' like crazy. I didn't want to move her too much, or take her out of the vomit like someone suggested before. I want her to continue to bathe in it, until the very last update.
Stay tuned for October's IVU. ほなな~

are imoto alergies acting up? se if i can collect tishies and put her boogies in it to help add nu bacteria
>>
>>154764
I have thought about that actually, since she has indeed been blowing her nose like crazy! I wasn't planning on adding boogers to the vomit though; I just wanted to steal her tissues and eat them. What sucks is she always tosses the tissues in her own bin, so I can't snag them.
But, when she's on the rag later this month, I could potentially add some new juice to the brew, since no one really pays attention to the bathroom's trash bin.
Can't say for sure, but I do wonder if maybe it's time for some new material to enter the concoction.

I’m still kind of sad that Rance series ended a few years ago, the last game was very fun.
ev&doe I haven’t played it since then :glare2:
>>
>>154770
it had to end up eventually seeing as everything starting from the sixth game was a remake of the other rance strategy game, and it's at least good the last game ended up decent seeing how rushed the series got, especially in X and quest
i don't think the gameplay of the last game was super good though, precursor to alicesoft entering into gacha. i ended up cheating eventually and didn't get to teh second part (just read it online)

Unlike linux, freebsd doesn't automatically switch between audio sources if you plug in your headphones. I had a hard time trying to figure out how to do it but I finally got it. Kind of.

Firstly you'll need to know what is the pcm number of your headphone jack port and for that you'll use the dmesg | grep pcm command. There should show up multiple Realtek entries for most people and the second one is usually the port for headphones. For me its located at pcm5 since the first entries were a bunch of nvidia garbage.

To change the audio source from speakers to headphones system wide you'll use the sysctl hw.snd.default_unit=X command replacing X with whatever number is the pcm number for your headphone port. Some programs mainly web browsers use pulseaudio to manage sound so don't be surprised when firefox plays sound from the speaker and your audio player plays sound from your headphones. To fix that you'll use the pactl set-default-sink oss_output.dspX command, again replacing the X to switch the pulseaudio output to your headphones as well.

Those commands are too long for me to bother remembering so I just alias them in my .zshrc file like this: alias s2h="pactl set-default-sink oss_output.dsp5 & sysctl hw.snd.default_unit=5" and alias s2s="pactl set-default-sink oss_output.dsp4 & sysctl hw.snd.default_unit=4" to switch both system audio and pulseaudio source at the same time.

It's not exactly automatic but I'm sure you could make a script that does that for you but this is what i managed to do so far. If anyone's trying to figure out how sound works on freebsd then I hope this helps!

i am moving to freebsd soon (like in 4-10 days). but only for my server so i would not need sound. but thanks for info!

This flash at first seemed nonsensical. But after reading the archived posts from swfchan on it... It made even less sense. (;´Д`)
Maybe the gif was supposed to be actually moving. Who knows at this point.
I like the music though. I always seem to find comfort in unease. It makes me feel cold.
>>
>>3099
when you open it in a flash decompiler it shows there are 76 frames
2nd and 3rd are what you see and the rest are black, except for the last one which is white
there is a code on the 4th frame which tells the player to go and play from the 2nd frame so it's stuck in this two frame loop
I don't know why would anyone make it like this
>>
>>3101
That sounds so unnecessarily complicated! (;゚∀゚)
Maybe the creator of the flash had something far more complex in mind but just decided to leave it the way it is..

I've already played kirby's adventure and kirby super star ultra. In fact, I had super star ultra on the ds as a kid (as my first kirby game, I think), so I wanted to see what the original was like. I guess I'll play Kirby and the Amazing Mirror next time I play a kirby game.

Anything for a fellow Kirby enjoyer. Enjoy Amazing Mirror; it's really cool with the big interconnected maze design and all the little treasures to find. Personally I also much like Return to Dreamland (especially when playing local co-op with friends) and Planet Robobot, though since those are newer games perhaps they might not be to the taste of old-skoolers.

Is there a bigger difference between 2005 and 2015, than between 2015 and 2025?

(Question popular on Japanese twitter today)
1 posts omitted. Click Reply to view.
>>
umm.... No.

Because of covid, trump, social media (which was totally different in 2015) the answer is No, 2015 is basically unrecognizable to 2020, whilst 2005 and 2015 have more similarities
>>
umm... Maybe.

umm... Hm?

>>
The difference between 2005 and 2015 seemed much bigger to me than 2015 and 2025, but then I did go from teenager to adult between 2005 and 2015 so that may color my judgement ^^;

This is mostly regarding technology and avoiding the political stuff (which is always changing anyway), but in 2005:

- we had pre-2008 recession prices and cost of living in the West
- analog stuff was still commonplace (VHS, CRTs, analog TV/radio, film cameras, etc.)
- TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, etc. were still the dominating forces in media (music downloads, internet-based news, etc. were only just starting to be taken seriously)
- purchased & rented media was typically physical; renting videos/games was still a big thing
- shopping was primarily an IRL activity too. Most people were not buying things online; even if they were, it was usually minor things or things that typically couldn't be found IRL
- Snail mail, mail-order, etc. were still big
- no iPhone-like smartphones; people weren't holding them at all times or recording every little thing and uploading it to the net
- portable handheld devices that later got replaced by phones/tablets were still a hueg thing; MP3 players, digital/film cameras, PDAs, portable DVD players, satnavs, handheld gaming consoles, digital dictionaries/translators, etc.
- social media "platforms" and "apps" as we know them today simply didn't exist; Youtube, MySpace, and other social networking sites were just starting to take off; even Wikipedia was only just starting to gain popularity. Decentralized forums and chatrooms were the norm; every topic imaginable had numerous independent web communities dedicated to it
- the Internet and "real life" were two very separate and distinct things
- LED bulbs bright enough to light a room didn't exist; incandescent bulbs were still commonplace
- cars usually didn't have GPS/screens/etc.; they still had CD players or even cassette players

All these things had changed by 2015 to pretty much the way they still are today. In comparison, the differences between 2015 and 2025 seem relatively minor to me. The biggest differences I can think of are:

- knock-on effects of COVID (global shortages, work-from-home, etc.)
- more electric/hybrid cars
- all the AI stuff
- more widespread adoption of smart home technology

Most other thing are the same as they were in 2015, but with 10 years of incremental developments (which in many cases has not been for the better...)
>>
Nothing about my life has changed in the past 10 years except for AI-generated hentai, a faster PC and a bigger TV. Tech advanced a lot more in 2005-2015 and more good anime and games came out back then.

Sometimes when i eat certain processed foods i get bizarre flu like symptoms
which include:
- Headache
- Neck pain
- Eye/Face pain
- Flu like body aches
- Fatigue
I only started having this food allergy after i got the covid vaccine. I'm not sure if thats related... (;´Д`)
Last night, i ate a few snack cookies and this morning i was practically bedridden.
My best guess is an allergic reaction to oils, maybe. if i eat home made cookies or bread im ok, so its not grain/flour alone. (・A・ )

Sorry for the double post, but yes, coconut oil like the other anon said. Just keep an eye on your cholesterol. High impact exercise and plenty of sun exposure should keep it in check, as long as your vitamin D and K intake is sufficient. You can get it checked if you want.
