This show was kinda hard to watch at times because of how real it sometimes got and honestly i feel like it had more balls than Welcome to the NHK tbh because the show doesn't hold back on the subject matter and says what it wants to say whereas the NHK anime adaptation dips its toes but is afraid to actually say anything compared to the original NHK novel.

I recently analyzed all the cases that were published online in news sites (which is almost certainly not all of them...) where people were prosecuted for lolicon images. I wanted to share some data and see what conclusions you come up with.

First, a fact
At a federal level it is currently a legal grey area, but lolicon itself is, ostensibly, legal. At least to posses in private. That is as far as I can stretch the law to say definitively.

Here's what I found:

>74% of people charged with a crime for owning lolicon images also allegedly had real CP. This was difficult to get exact data on because there is no seperate charge in most cases for owning lolicon. Many people were indicted on the same offenses that actual CP would get you. Take with grain of salt.

>75-80% (there was some uncertainty in whether real CP was involved in some cases from the indictments) of the people who were caught with lolicon and real CP were convicted with no successful appeal.

>A majority, anywhere from 50% to 60% of the people who were charged with just owning lolicon, not real CP, were convicted and did not successfully appeal. The other rough-half either had charges dropped or appealed successfully. Many of those who were charged had some charges reduced. The 10% margin of error depends on which cases actually involved lolicon, which isn't clear. There is no legal definition and the distinction is usually ignored

So as far as I understand, regardless of what federal law states, in PRACTICE, owning lolicon imagery can, and does, more often than it does not, result in a successful conviction. My guess is that the type of lolicon matters too.

So lolicon seems to be kind of like the inverse of weed possession in some states. Whereas the latter is illegal on a federal level, but rarely enforced in reality, lolicon is, technically, legal, but people are nonetheless convicted of crimes for it. Evidently case law surrounding lolicon is too niche for most judges and so they just treat it as CP and get away with it most of the time.

I am actually writing a research paper on this topic with respect to the legality of a certain website and will share that here soon alongside the raw data. All of these numbers are preliminary and this is basically napkin math.

I finally got my own cloud working after a few dayz working on it!!! Teh early progress was fun and easy and went rather smoothily at first, but as soon as i tried to connect to opencloud teh really problem appeared. I am a 100% n00b and teh fact i manage to do all this is sick! I did use a lot of LLM to guide me, but all it did was make me go circles and circles in different changes and configz. But after a few days, it clicked! Now it almost works perfect! Still havent got my phone to auto-sync, but it does 100% work from Phone-> server -> Laptop!!

The config is rather easy;

--> Ubuntu Server
----> Docker
------>Tailscale
--------> Opencloud
I did use caddy inbetwen as i had large problem with HTTP and https but in teh end, it was just more complex to get TLS working. Removed, few changes and... IT FUKKING WORKZ!!!!As its tailscale, its 100% private inbetween my nodes. >:3
