The mid 2000s was the happiest time in my life. I was ~16 years old and spent all my time tinkering with computers and computer junk and browsing the internet, linux forums, old imageboards like iiichan and wtfux and the old 4chan.

It makes me especially happy that I'm able to post this from my extremely crappy old netbook from an extremely limited web browser. An experience I haven't had since like 2008.

you guys know Counter Strike: NEO? A japanese exclusive arcade version of cs?

It was called: Counter Strike NEO: White Memories.
It was flash-based, and released for free on Namco's site at the time. I have every chapter up to 12, but i'm missing Chapter 7. I think most archives are missing it too.

I do also have a copy of the server/arcade software for the actual normal game if anyone's interested, but i'd like to ask if Heyuri could help me find Chapter 7 of this obscure ass visual novel. Maybe even... uh, translate it too?

I'm thinking of remaking the vn in Ren'Py, but given the game has a few more complexities above simple text (apparently theres a shooting section at some point of the game (;´Д`)) im a bit worried as to if it'll be fine.

I do know a bit of Ren'Py but don't know much about the getting to coding parts that aren't just shoddy dialogue. And even then, I still dunno supreme nihongo that well just yet. I'll drop a link somewhere to the source code whenever I get started if anyone wants to help (but uh, dont expect much (´人｀))

I have a theory that dogs are getting more stupid.

Because well behaved dogs in good families tend to get neutered, because the family is responsible.
Meanwhile dogs in families that dont "care" and have misbehaved dogs tend to not care about them breeding.
This results in a large portion of mild mannered or smart dogs being removed from the genepool, and idiot dogs or even violent dogs having as many pups as possible.

Traits like low temperament or intelligence are removed slowly because the good dog thats in a good family gets castrated...

Also, since there is a lot of genetic bottlenecking, inherited mutations are causing dogs to become more and more autistic too.
