i've adopted the approach of reading random sections of random non-fiction books in the shop, instead of masturbating, and instead of reading nothing at all. ig i might read a whole book one day if i get really engrosed. adhd in endemic, and desperate times call for desperate measures. it's pretty fun and informative though! you don't get bored like you do when you sit down with a book. actually, i read that people used to read standing at lecturns in front of bookshelves, and the books would be leashed to the bookshelf to prevent stealing from libraries. i'm basically treating reading the old-fashioned way, then.

btw i can read continuously every day like this without getting tired. and when i used to buy/loan books, i couldn't get through more than 20 pages at a time before yawning!
