Since yesterday the JASDF is in the process of deploying some fighters to the UK (and later Germany) and I've been watching them on ADS-B! :biggrin:
There are two Kawasaki C-2s, two KC-767J tankers and a private KC-10 tanker, plus the F-15s. Pic related are the C-2s approaching Alaska at about 1a.m. UTC. A few more to follow! :mona2:

The C-2s haven't been picked up for 2.5 hours now and their last known position is the same as last screenshot, so they might have landed now or very soon :nyaoo-closedeyes:

Might see the tankers take off early tomorrow morning or afternoon but after that we won't be able to see them until they reach the UK (Tomorrow) due to bad ADSB coverage :cry:

Day three of JASDF Deployment!

The tankers have just taken off from Eielson AFB with their F-15s and are on the way to Canada! :biggrin:

Unfortunately I won't be able to track them once over the Canadian wilderness, so until they reach the UK there will be no more updates. Fear not! I will stay up all night tonight as a dutiful watchman until they are found again!

Tankers are now over Canada after losing contact for about 1.5 hours, 2 hours after takeoff. The lower plane is the first C-2 which was not seen again since yesterday. Also, the second C-2 is actually still at Eielson AFB, it didn't go with the first C-2 like I thought it did. :astonish:

I expect the tankers to lose contact again soon, so this will (most likely) be the last update until, I predict, about 8pm or 9pm UTC tomorrow (I think that is when the first plane will reach the UK)

I ran into problems just attempting to make it into an executable file that can be run by double clicking it, so I think trying to make a program that would alert us to new posts would be too complex for GPT-san and I, since I have zero knowledge of programming and am just mindlessly following his instructions. At this point I'm so lost that I have no idea which version of the code and the errors I should even show you...

I have uploaded the latest working version on up.heyuri.net if anyone is interested. You just run it by typing "python3 mypet.py mypet.gif" into the terminal.

With image generation AI, unpredictability can be added with wildcards. You can have every danbooru tag, every word in the english language, every word on urban dictionary, etc. in a big text file, then have one or more of those words randomly inserted into the prompt.
