For some reason, this picture made me feel a lot of things, but I can't put it into words.

To put it simply, he has a girl, but I am completely alone.

I didn't feel like crying, but I wish I had.

I apologize; I didn't mean it that way.

No, I’m not happy about being a "sinner" anyway; I just thought you hadn't fully grasped that issue.

A tree with gnarled wood will never be cut down; its timber is useless to the carpenter. Trees that have useful wood are hewed down for it, and hence do not live out their lifespan. All men know how useful it is to be useful, but few men know how useful it is to be useless.

Exactly. Chill out, let life take its course. Let other people waste and shorten their lifespan with work and worry. This is the Tao of the NEET.

On June 30th, at 5PM UTC (8pm moscow/istanbul time, something around 10am in America), I will be having a birthday party on https://townhall.heyuri.lol/

It wont last too long, so if you can stop by and say a few words, like "happy birthday", then that would be cool (´¬`)

If you would like to send me personal greeting, write a tripmail to "AMERICAu.c". (´人`)
or if its really private, you can leave me a message here: https://kuz.njournal.net/kontact/

My wife left me and this is my second birthday alone... (´人`)

( ̄ー ̄) But I'm not too bothered about that

Terana caerulea (or Terana coerulea), commonly known as the cobalt crust fungus or velvet blue spread, is a saprobic crust fungus in the family Phanerochaetaceae. Usually found in warm, damp hardwood forests on the undersides of fallen logs and branches of deciduous trees, this unique fungus has been described as "blue velvet on a stick".

im looking for a friend to watch stuff with or playgames with or whatever
im very big on snes jrpgs and ps2 and old sega games, namely dothack, la pucelle, popful mail, the og puyo games
i like a lot of 70-90s shoujo and yaoi, like rose of versailles, patalliro, oniisamae, but i also love early 2000s stuff like di gi charat, rizelmine, angelique, galaxy angel, zetsubou, genshiken, akazukin chacha, magipoka, punie, komugi, popotan, and random ovas. I like vampires and vampire themes as well, as well as angels, I find them both pretty and infatuating
i also love shmups like gunbird, cotton, touhou, exceed, and all kinds of doujin games. i play quite a lot of vns aswell
im a huge visual kei fan, feel free to ask me about my favorite bands
finally, i love mmos. i recently started ffxiv and ive hit level 30, but i also like pso, toram, mabinogi, and pangya a lot
if anyone feels they would like to form a bond with me i will reply with my email

but i like male vampires too
>>186248
if you liked la pucelle and disgaea, i would play the rhapsody series. its made by a lot of the same people, so the combat system and some of the comedy and character archetypes are similar
as for my favorite jrpgs, i of course love dothack, but i love the series as a whole outside of the games. i like drakengard, evergrace, stella deus, gradnia, xenosaga, the neptunia series, the agarest war series, and i absolutley love shin megami tensei
i forgot to mention it but i play a lot of fighting games too, im not very good but i play melty blood and accent core +r alot, aswell as some random fightcade games like akatsuki blitzkampf. i also just got eternal fighter zero on cd so i want to start playing that more, i also have magical battle arena on dvd if that counts as a fighting game. i also just feel like mentioning that i really like castlevania and ive been playing through harmony of dissonance recently

this thread got more replies then i thought so ill leave my xmpp (rather than my email)

La Pucelle seems really cool, Disgaea is one my favorite JRPGs ever. I'd also rec Sting as another similar JRPG developer, though "similar" is kind of a stretch since they're easily one of the most unique studios of that period, I mostly just say that because I like their character designs a lot wwwww
I haven't watched too much old anime, mostly action stuff like Oedo 808 or Gunsmith Cats, but I'm fond of BL. I can't call Yarichin my favorite because I kind of hate how whorish the boys are, but Yacchan is one of my favorite characters from any manga ever.
Vampires I generally associate with cool evil gun manga, Hellsing and the like. I'm kind of half-heartedly working a game involving an angel protagonist.
I've been playing a couple Dreamcast Shmups on emulator, Border Down and Kaorus specifically. I'm actually terrible at shmups (Th7 is my fave 2hu because it's the only one easy enough that I've 1CC'd on normal) haven't beat stage 3 of either yet but I mostly play them for the musical experience so I'm fine with that. VNs I find frustrating because I live in a noisy house and can rarely find a comfortable time to actually focus on one, still I've been reading through The Silver Case recently.
I only really know Malice Mizer as far as Vkei, I like Hikari Light Club though which I kind of consider aesthetically adjacent.
I've never used xmpp before, but I guess I might as well leave mine here too: ghost-ogre@xmpp.jp

whats your ideal weapon?

To understand morphosyntactic alignment, it is first important to understand transitivity. Verbs typically come in two styles: intransitive and transitive. An intransitive verb can take only one argument, the subject, while a transitive verb can take two arguments, the subject and the direct object. Morphosyntactic alignment refers to how different languages group together the arguments of transitive and intransitive verbs. To be linguistically neutral, we must give separate names to all the arguments. The subject of an intransitive verb, we will call the "Subject (S)"; the subject of a transitive verb, we will call the "Agent (A)"; and the object of a transitive verb, we will call the "Object (O)". To give an example: in the sentences "John sleeps" and "Nathan cooks dinner", John would be (S), Nathan would be (A), and dinner would be (O).

The first and most common form of morphosyntactic alignment is Nominative-Accusative alignment. Languages that use this alignment include English, Spanish, Japanese, and Russian, among others. In Nominative-Accusative languages, the (S) and the (A) are treated the same way in the nominative case while (O) is treated separate in the accusative case. In the English sentences "She jumps" and "She loves her", you can see that (S) and (A) in both sentences take the same nominative form, while (O) takes the separate accusative form.

The second most common form of morphosyntactic alignment is Ergative-Absolutive alignment. Languages that use this alignment include Georgian, Kurdish, and Basque, among others. In Ergative-Absolutive languages, the (S) and the (O) are treated the same way in the Absolutive case while (A) is treated separate in the Ergative case. In Basque, the sentences "I have arrived", "The man has seen me" and "I have read the book" are "Ni (S) etorri naiz", "Gozonak ni (O) ikusi nau" and "Nik (A) liburua irakurri dut". As you can see, it is (S) and (O) that take the same form while (A) is separate. However, most languages that use Ergative-Absolutive alignment feature split-ergativity, which means that they are not always ergative. For instance, the Australian aboriginal language Nhanda, despite being Ergative-Absolutive, uses Nominative-Accusative alignment for their pronouns.

That's all for the first lesson. I'll be back for more either tomorrow or the day after.
>>
Please start your lesson with an introductory phrase/paragraph quickly explaining why the topic of your lesson matters (in this case, why should I care about morphosyntactic alignment) (´人`)
>>
>>186768
shit. uhhhh :dizzy:

Morphosyntactic alignment is so deeply embedded into the logic of our languages that it, moreso than other things, can be quite jarring when you learn other languages do it differently.
>>
>>186764
Seems simple enough
intransitive verb takes one noun, typically before the verb.
While a transitive takes two nouns, typically before and after.
