you may need to rethink banning the word "zoomer". At the time rule 8 was written, it was imageboard slang that fit with the other banned words, but 6 years later it is now a common term.

Similarly, "boomer" has been around for decades. But if those terms arent going to be unbanned, what should we call people from the baby boomer generation and generation z?

So the narrative controllers created this "30 year old boomer" meme where if you enjoyed doing very common things you were "boomer" which everyone at the time knew means bad, and that spread with normalfags so it took away the negative meaning boomer had and is now just this meaningless term.

I think focusing too much on the mistakes of previous generations does a lot of harm.

Notice it enough to not repeat their mistakes, but focusing too much on it creates animosity, and splitting up generations, making it so that young people dont listen to the old, and the old dont pass down anything to the young is exactly what "they" want.

Theres a lot to learn from the older generations, good and bad. Following the older gens without question isnt right, but we shouldnt let the natural inheritance of personal knowledge be lost. :happy:

I enabled by default now. It was disabled because we've been turning features that could possibly encourage turning threads into chatting places among repliers off but it seems wanted by enough people, and futaba too has it...
If you are reading this, you should still click [settings] at top right read through it. What we have by default is merely what I think is acceptable for the majority of users who will never bother clicking the buttan, you may liek it better with some changes :nyaoo-closedeyes:

It's one of Heyuri's long-held philosophies that makes it unique: that imageboards morphing into a collection of semi-persistent chat rooms (as opposed to a steady flow of new threads to the boards) is part of what made them suck. We have a rule against reoccurring general threads for the same reason

We have everything set up on the imageboards to inspire users to make new posts to the boards instead of siloing themselves to the same handful of threads - helping to establish a unified site culture and keep the first page of the board indices fresh

I am the (sole) developer behind fuwaboard.xyz, a (not very featureful or fleshed out) imageboard. It barely has any users, especially given it was officially put online yesterday, and so I thought it would be a good idea to do a mutual linking between the sites. I have also submitted a banner for the site (ignore the original american flag one)

I feel like it would be enjoyable for Heyurizens as the intention is for the imageboard to be for otakus and other 'outcasts.', and generally I have enjoyed Heyuri and the presence and content made by Heyurizens since I first joined in 2021 so it would be nice to have the same presence in fuwaboard.

Like, for fucks sake, this should be the first fuckin' thing you think about when you make a goddamn thread watcher. Look at 4chan-X's thread watching button. It's easy. You just click one fuckin button and its watched. But on Heyuri you have to click TWICE. Who in the motherfuckin FUCK decided it should be in a drop down menu? It's only recently implemented. It's well-integrated with backend, but some UI aspects could be improved with time, so don't throw it into trash just yet!

1- as for dropdown, maybe the threads could have a star that can turn into green for watching
2-
