It's a limitation of the board software, but also deliberate - it would be a significant amount of work to implement, and it wouldn't really add anything besides making the place look & feel more like an 8chan offshoot

Can you specifically point out which threads you personally feel are out of place, and why? I feel that some threads are indeed 4chan-ish, but in my view this largely relates to /soc/ posts, poor-quality (e.g. unnecessary JPEG artifacts) or poor-taste media files (e.g. TikTok-style videos) and retarded slang words and phrases (e.g. "incel").
