Happy Canada Day!

For those interested, this station will be playing 1980s Canadian tunes for most of the day. For fellow Canucks, come enjoy some home grown music. For the rest, come discover what Canada had to offer the 1980s music scene back in the day.

See the queue: http://1980s.fm/modules.php?name=Queue_Played
Listen link (just copypaste into browser): http://hi5.1980s.fm/;/;.m3u
Or click one of the "Listen Live!" options on the left side of the site.

What VPN do you use for Japan?

Proton free. Works great except it blocks torrenting unless you pay. So I just torrent bareback.

And I guess my region got annexed by America at some point and I never noticed...
>>
>>148231
Like Proton the same people that offer Protonmail?
Is it easy to set up? Do you know if it works with posting to Futaba Channel?

>>
>>148241
Yeah, same company as Protonmail. I'm on Linux and it's easy to use, also easy to use on my Android phone. I don't know if 2ch blocks VPNs and I've never posted there though.
>>
>>148242
Would you mind testing it to see if you can post on 2ch? It would be the only reason for me to download something like this where region blocks are established.
>>
>>148241
I use it too, but it doesn't work on Futaba or 2ch and so on. This was the case for other Japanese VPNs I used too
My guess is it's because the host for VPN IPs don't typically end with a ".jp" like residental IPs

Sorry, but I don't want to go into a online community I don't understand and be all like :nigra: "AYO SHEEEIT WHATS GOOD MY JAPANIGGAS YA'LL LIEK THAT ANIME N SHIT?" :sweat2:

You should be using a VPN just for heyuri anyway because pic related is child porn in our country if you didn't know. :sweat3: I mean, I used to post loli bareback on 4chan all the time and the RCMP never knocked on my door but stiiiill...

Oh, damn that sucks. There was this Japanese university VPN someone recommended to me a while ago, SoftEther (or VPN Gate?), and I always assumed I could use it for posting there. I guess that won't work either? I'd love to know how to get a good reliable source to post on Futaba Channel.
>don't typically end with a ".jp" like residental IPs
I assumed it was Japanese people being strict about what sites were accessible.

>Sorry, but I don't want to go into a online community...
Kek, I would have just suggested to venture into a random thread on a dead-ish board and post ... or ? or something minor. But thankfully someone else answered.
>You should be using a VPN just for heyuri anyway
>and the RCMP never knocked on my door
If you don't act recklessly and have actual real CP, you won't be detected with regards to 2d loli.

I can only speak for teh ones I used myself which don't allow posting
2chan just has this page that checks your IP status: https://jun.2chan.net/formail.php - Japanese VPNs I used all shows the "not jp" warning

>I can only speak for teh ones I used myself which don't allow posting
Which ones were they so I can avoid them?
>Japanese VPNs I used all shows the "not jp" warning
Which is so weird, since it's a Japanese VPN, it should be a Japanese IP, correct?
I mean the entire point of using one would be to go to places where outsiders are blocked from posting and buying things, which is the case for alot of Japanese websites.
>>
>>148278
I'm using VPN Gate and don't see a "not jp" warning on that page

Proton and PIA, and there was another I used some time ago but I forgot the name :sweat2:

It is a Japanese IP, but I dunno what it does the check by
