We will watch Mahoromatic (2001) next Saturday 18:00 UTC [Info] [Countdown]

Since there's sum debate about it between staff-san, which of teh following should we do:

A. Alternate each month between long streams and short streams. We'll watch the top-nominated show(s) with a run-time equivalent to a 12-ep TV series (1-cour) one month, then the next month watch the top-nominated show(s) with a shorter run-time (as long as it isn't 🔞, but additional shows can be 🔞). The top-nominated show will occasionally be postponed until the following month (or longer depending on how votes change) depending on its length

B. Watch the top-nominated show(s) every month regardless of run-time. If it's significantly shorter than a 12-ep TV series, throw in 1 or more additional highly-nominated shorter shows to make it a double/triple-feature

For context, teh nominations for what we watch are here: https://cgi.heyuri.net/nominate/

If we choose option A (and assuming the rankings don't change), the November Heyuri Cytube stream will be Gunsmith Cats (#11) + Unbalance (#2 🔞)

If we choose option B, the November Heyuri Cytube stream will be Elfen Lied (#1)

>The "keep it special" argument was what we used when streams were "once every 2 months" VS "once every month"
yes, and A. was suggested as the middle way between two without anyone opposing
Personally I would liek B too if it means watching more anime with Heyuri overall, but we can't expect everyone to keep up with it, possibly leading to lower participation over time - unless we promote our streams across anime-focused imageboards somehow...
>>
>but we can't expect everyone to keep up with it, possibly leading to lower participation over time
I don't think users choose to participate depending on how long the show is - rather, users choose to participate depending on what the show is, and whether their schedules allow for it. Obviously, it also depends on how many users are frequenting Heyuri as a whole

For teh Rozen Maiden stream (a well-loved, well-known, 1-cour length show), we had a max of 33 users and averaged 30-32 during the 1st half, around 25 during the 2nd half. I can't give exact numbers for previous streams since teh wiki is down, but I know that Rozen Maiden had a better turnout than many of the streams we've had this year (some of which were in the teens and low 20s IIRC)

That's why I say the run-time doesn't matter - users will participate if they're interested in the show and they're available, and since nominations are made and voted on by users, the show that users desire to watch the most is gonna be the one at the top
>>
I like the way things are now but I'm up for watching whatever is rated the highest
>>
I think we should make a poll to make it easier to see which more people prefer.
>>
>I think we should make a poll to make it easier to see which more people prefer.
Wait! First we need to decide if we'll be going with the top-voted item in the poll or not wink

How do I get access to /cp/?

post 9001 loli images to Lolikon@Heyuri, it will appear to you after that ph34r

There have been a lot of users lately. I want to see data unsure
>>
seems liek some sort of scraping coz some boards would get 100+ users for a few days then go back to normal. on off-topic its probably for the same reason but teh majority of it gets focused on other boards for whatever reason

here's sum data

Wise words. Natural forum life cycle.
>>
>ignore their posts
It's generally the best thing to do, but u will always get the village idiot that thinks kicking up a fuss and fighting fire with fire is the right solution, so it never truly works

>always be as passive aggressive to them as possible, and do as much as you can to make their experience on this site miserable
No. Heyuri is the way it is precisely because it has always rejected that kind of behavior, and those who try to initiate it. That method only ever succeeds in transforming healthy communities into hostile battlefields of bitterness - where every user views all the other users as unwelcome intruders - like all the other places that thought "let's be unbearable assholes and drive away the users we don't like!" would make for a good community

The best alternative to ignoring things is to turn them into something fun and/or creative instead - the more users that choose this path, the better things will be biggrin

The OP is clearly normalfag speech. Normalfag speech is just as sociopathic as nu-4chan speech, because they are actually the same user-type.

that and another bug on Flash, fixed!

Flash thumbnail is broken in threads (points to the wrong image, seemingly an absolute path on the host) but works as intended on the board. Happens on both /b/ and /f/

fix'd

Hello, this is my feature request:
plz make it so that short board code names in nav bar would show full board titles on hover, it's done very easily by adding title="" to links, no js needed. this will make life easier for those not using frames, thx.

added as requested ヽ(´ー`)ノ

There was a bug apparently. Quoting your post:
>I was gonna say that the wiki is borked
We are slowly making progress on fixing it, first had to do an OS update today. I have a feeling updating mediawiki's version changes will be more complicated than changing the web server's OS sweat2

use another wiki software, like the one from tanasinn wiki

Where can I find a more detailed tutorial on how to install Kokonotsuba? I'm very interested and want to try it on my hosting.nigra

why is the filesize limit down from 50-100MB to 9MB again?

im guessing kaguya forgot to set it back to 50mb after updating

You know it's really getting on my nerves that Heyuri is cluttered with many pages of old threads that don't even bump anymore.

Also, new friends should always check the catalog before making a copycat thread.

it's not like politics is a b& topic on Heyuri (see R7), but this thread is past its purpose since the townhall
linguistic protectionism was brought up to compare a feature with it here - if you actually care to discuss it in general, feel free to create a thread on off-topic or lounge

Please add /vg/ for video games /jp/ 2 for Japanese culture discussion and a /NEET/ board for NEETs and hikkis.

>4chan's /jp/ was a mistake
Only the modern one, it actually used to be pretty similar to what Heyuri is now (except with more Touhou). In fact the first time I stumbled upon Heyuri I thought it was a site created by /jp/ oldfags. The atmosphere, the board culture, and especially the rules (which were unwritten on 4chan /jp/, but very similar nonetheless) all fit the bill
>>
/vg/ would be the only considerable one yet, as stated above, you could talk vidya on many of the other boards already on here once heyuri becomes big enough, we can consider /vg/ but we dont want to stretch out the userbase even further on more interest/hobby boards when they really aren't needed. rolleyes
>>
we need less boards
>>
I kinda want a videogames board but then I realized I barely play anything anymore. 99% of my playtime in the last month was Beatmania, and I'm pretty sure I've put in like 3-4h into it tops in that time period
I do like those "while you were wasting your life on the Internet, I beat ____" threads that were on /b/, that did get me to play more games
so the real way to get game discussion going is to just talk about games you're playing rather than needing a whole ass board for it

a NEET board would just be a refuge for people who literally contribute nothing
any one who is NEET and does something worth talking about has the existing boards already to do so on
