does anyone else feel like old heyuri used to be much more active and dare i say fun or is that just me?( ´,_ゝ`)

Yeah it may have been more active back then (talking about early-mid 2023), but nothing crazy.
It's tough to judge if it was more fun back then  if you were new, surely everything was more fun. There are better weeks and worse weeks.
>>
I love heyrui, i rhink its getting better and better
>>
I agree, I miss 2023 heyuri.
>>
The site hasn't been good since 2020. I miss when it was just a booru, this whole "imageboard" shtick has been going on for what, 5 years? We need to return to our roots :closed-eyes:
>>
It stopped being a booru in November 2019, and didn't have any users until a few months into 2020...

>cringe videos
MOOOOOOOOOOODS!!!!!!!!!
>>
>MOOOOOOOOOOODS!!!!!!!!!
It's not that simple... a phrase like "brony cringe videos" could be interpreted as "videos that will make you cringe", rather than "these videos contain cringe". The former is a sense that was commonly used during the era of "cringe threads" and "cringe compilations" (roughly mid-2010s, basically the sequel to fail threads and fail compilations that used to be popular), before the noun/one-word retort usage took off

For now, I've opted to take the lazy route and leave it alone ヽ(´ー`)ノ

If we get an /mlp/ board before a /g/ this website is so fucked

Can self-deletions not be included in the "Deleted posts trash bin"? I don't feel comfortable that I make a mistake, delete my post, but a mod can still see it. It makes me super self conscious when posting, and lately I've been feeling so nervous that I almost threw up yesterday when I made a posting mistake that I knew they would see.

Well your ID is "KKaiyK 5M" which looks like code for joining the KKK and killing 5 million niggers, which makes you look like the more butthurt one. Butthurt about niggers.

That's fair enough... but you should use filtering for the first half of IPv6 IP addresses if taking their past posts it in account

1234:542:324r:n123:6980:4093:4830:n643 has their posts @ 1234:542:324r:n123:*
>>
>you should use filtering for the first half of IPv6 IP addresses if taking their past posts it in account
Eh... I'm not convinced that all the posts shown are by the same person when you do that. It seems to me liek a lot of the IPv6 addresses that are actually in use share the same initial "octets" (or whatever they're called in IPv6 land)

i wouldn't mind if every post mentioning/implying the use of dicksword got baleeted tbh (`∇´)

You may be posting from a dynamic IP that gets rotated whenever by your ISP.

i'm a retard and always cut the entirety of the quick-reply box and paste it in the form at the top of the page when i decide to post a reply, but when i try to attach an image i noticed that sometimes the images would not be send, when that happens the browse box shows the filename but no preview (and hitting reply only sends the text)

I bet i'm the only one who experienced this because the quick-reply box is my arch nemesis but i'm reporting it in case this bug is somehow connected to something else that may cause a bigger bug down the line
>>
You can disable quick reply in the settings.
I came across this bug once before when i forgot to disable quick reply.

I am afraid people don't check the front page for announcements/easily forget them, so I think it's appropriate to make this reminder when there's a little over a month until teh event
There's enough information there (@ https://www.heyuri.net/#news74 ), it's going to happen on 2025/11/02 (Sun) but I'll paste mod-san's explanation from >>69310 on what is a bunkasai

Bunkasai means "cultural festival" - you often see it in teh animez set in school. All the classes work on producing some kind of fun/creative feature (e.g. food stands, themed cafes, haunted houses, sports/games, drama/music performances, etc.), and then the school is opened up to the public to see it all

On Heyuri, we designate a specific day (though things like this are fully welcome any day of the year) for us to all create fun/creative things for each other to see and experience

There's no limits or expectations - just whatever you (or your group) can come up with

I need to come up with a way to host Godot games as if they were Flash games next year. 1 file or highly portable, upload anywhere, play on browser.
>>
>>69563
I can't compare it to previous years, but I thought it was good fun. I think more interactive activities where you play along with other Heyurians would help, I think I'll try and make something like that next time.
>>
>>69567
WebGL?
>>
>>69567
I know that godot has can export out to webGL, but i don't know how user friendly it is. Read here.
https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/export/exporting_for_web.html
>>
>>69570
Yes, I know, but it still generates a bunch of files and has some particular hosting requirements.
I have devised a way to use parcel to generate a single HTML file from a typescript project. The only downside is that I will have to develop using HTML+Canvas+TypeScript.
To that end, I will be developing a custom game engine loosely inspired by how Flash handles MovieClips, but with attachable behaviors so I can mimics the way Godot nests nodes. Thus my dream of easily-shareable, trivially hostable games will be made a reality and Heyuri will receive many shitty games from me.

Has Heyuri been slow for others as well? Whenever I come here it takes a good 15-20 seconds for the site to load. Especially /b/ takes about 30 to load. Other boards seem to be fine. (like /l/ :3) I've been on this site almost daily for 3 years now and this is the first time this has happened.

for me everything online has been slow recently, not sure whats up with it (;´Д`)
>>
if the static pages are taking ages to load then its most likely an issue with your connection or a cloudflare/CDN issue in your area. I haven't noticed anything running slower

you could try using a vpn or switching to a different vpn node and seeing if it persists

what if this site reused the flash/file mode for tracker files? users could upload tracker modules from all over the place and even upload their own creations. you could even have an embedded player. iichan had this back in the day and it was pretty neat. although it just behaved like a normal futaba board. tell me if this idea is gay or not, thanks!

picrel is from the kareha source code

This thread was autosaged for no reason, it violated absolutely no rules, but because an argument spawned in the replies it was deleted.

On top of that, the entire "argument" (mostly people joking with eachother) was deleted as well. This is a repeated pattern since anything resembling a heated discussion is quickly autosaged or deleted. No discussion is allowed to happen unless there is consensus
>>
it was basically "lmao Sweden=niggers" shit instead of actual discussion and definitely hits rule 8d

people have discussions here all the time too, but if it starts looking like 4chan-tier shit flinging, then it gets axed (also rule 8d)
>>
That thread was not deleted. There were multiple complaints about the replies in that thread (and the general state of Off-Topic lately) on Chat@Heyuri, so I decided to baleet the kusoposts since I wasn't particularly fond of the thread either (though I was happy to just leave it autosage'd and forget about it). I un-autosage'd it after baleeting the replies in question

Ur free to discuss things on Heyuri, but u should go to 4chan to complain/troll about nigras in Sweden or whatever
>>
Threads can be autosaged when they seem to have fulfilled their purpose with noone replying to OP, but they serve to users bantering at each other instead

The first deleted post in that thread is a bit /pol/-ish but not really R7, and the second one (reply to it) was really posted just to get a rise out of the users unless it was ironic? I thought that at first, but seems waffle and chikin is something people actually eat together, WTF? and that's basically Rule 8.d
Either way it succeeded and attracted a user who has been previous ban records for Rule 7, there on wasn't really fitting to Heyuri.

Thanks for caring enough to create a thread anyways!

>>69544
I don't feel like making political posts about current political stuff is really R7. With one unrelated exception, it's irrelevant if same topics are happening to be discussed on 4chan as well.
That said I can also understand we don't live in an utopia where we can comfortably just allow all political discussions, those who think Heyuri is the perfect place to boldly state their controversial views hardly mind R8.d after exchanging a few posts in practice. It was brought up last townhall if we should enforce R7 stricter and the response was mixed too.
>>
They even deleted my spurdo sparde post -_-
>>69544
Why do you think you can AS a post just because you dont personally like it? Cunt
>>
>I don't feel like making political posts about current political stuff is really R7. With one unrelated exception, it's irrelevant if same topics are happening to be discussed on 4chan as well.
There's a difference between rationally discussing & debating politics, wars, social issues, etc. VS "I hate XYZ people and I think they should GTFO and/or kill themselves". There's been a lot of the latter lately, and shit sux

I think it's still up for debate whether or not "Serious Business" political discussions belong on Heyuri or not, but I'd like to believe we could host discussions on any topic (including that which we previously B& entirely)... certain users love to prove me wrong on that front however :sweat2:

>Why do you think you can AS a post just because you dont personally like it? Cunt
