But before she could start her sister had showed up unannounced. She had keys to the house and after no one had answered the door (her sister being in the garage at that time), had entered the house. And after going through the house looking for her sister, had decided to check the bathroom (since she saw a light there, behind a closed door).

And after knocking a few times and getting no reply, had opened the door. Discovering to her horror a naked below the waist strangled young man in the suitcase, with his stuck out head pressed hard against a toilet seat and all that body disposal paraphernalia next to him. And immediately calling the police.

I've been playing a bunch of NES and Famicom games lately.
I haven't played many NES games for a very long time, and I was avoiding the machine for a while since I thought a lot of the games wouldn't hold up, although I guess that was a dumb thought since the NES library aligns heavily with my pick-up-and-play arcade sensibilities.

Here's what I've been playing:

* 3-D WorldRunner (USA)
reasonably fun, but the sections where you can't control your movement speed suck dick
a lot of the game feels a little bit slapped together like they weren't sure what to do with the engine they had made, which is probably literally true
it is absolutely the first 3D platformer

* Attack Animal Gakuen (Japan)
cute space harrier clone that suffers from not shooting directly into the screen from the character's position like in space harrier itself (a sin that the famicom release of space harrier itself also has)
she instead shoots directly along the Z axis so it's much harder to actually hit anything
she changes her outfit every level, which is quite nice

* F-1 Race (Japan)
it's just a reasonably good Pole Position clone
played this on a famiclone when I was younger so I didn't know it never came out in the US
why the fuck didn't it come out in the US anyway, it's just good

* Kidou Senshi Z Gundam - Hot Scramble (Japan) (Final Version)
it's like Star Luster but with all the complicated bits removed
hunt down up to 9 enemy mobile suits in each level and blow their asses up
maybe a little bit easy, I've made it to the "mission clear" screen like thrice now, although I haven't survived very far past in the (randomly generated?) levels past that point, maybe like 2 levels past there
this version didn't pass its playtest with the kids very well apparently, so they changed it into the game below and released this as a limited run promotion
I'm 90% sure this is a reasonably complete prototype they released as a bonus
it needs a little bit of extra polish to be a great game, but it's good

* Kidou Senshi Z Gundam - Hot Scramble (Japan)
it's very different from the above, apparently the nipponese children weren't really gelling with the gameplay of the "Final Version"
massively simplified, no hunting down mobile suits, it's a straight-forward rail shooter now (levels do have more than 9 enemy mobile suits now at least)
has these really slapped-together side-scrolling bits with a really lame boss core you have to shoot that reflects a spray of bullets back when you hit it
just a much worse game than the above, and it's a total shame
it isn't bad, but it could have been so much better (and literally was)

* Kirby's Adventure (USA)
what a fantastic game, seriously
I don't remember there being quite this much slowdown, but I think the last time I played it was the 3DS release, overwriting any memories of how it actually ran

* Metro-Cross (Japan)
fairly decent (but much uglier) port of the arcade game

* Pooyan (Japan)
part of me likes this version more than the arcade release, but maybe that's because I played this specific one as a kid on a famiclone

* Seicross (USA)
had this as a kid on my NES and was fucking terrible at it, I don't think I ever made it to the second level back then
it's honestly pretty fun now that I'm not 7 anymore lmao

* Shatterhand (USA)
fucking love this game so much
not much else to say, you go around and fucking punch the shit out of everything
you can punch bullets out of the air lmao

* Slalom (USA)
played this on a famiclone as a kid
reasonably fun

* Star Luster (Japan)
hunt down enemies as they try to attack planets and bases
vaguely like what Star Fox 2 is, but way earlier, and not nearly as in-depth
arguably a little too complicated for its own good (and it isn't very complicated)

* Super Mario Bros. (World)
it's Mario 1, it's great
nothing else to say

* Trog! (USA)
not a great port of the arcade game
not the worst, but it's just kind of ugly and feels wrong
it's weird how you can punch fast enough that you stop moving completely too

First off, I'll say I have a big family :sweat3:

I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. My brother is the oldest and moved out for college when I was a kid, so I was mostly raised with my 3 sisters. My father was almost always away at work for long periods of time, and it wasn't uncommon for me to see him only once a week and just for a few hours.

This was further compounded by a few strange coincidences in my life. Firstly, that I live in a small town, where there are two primary and two middle schools. For each of them, one is a public school, and the other is a private boys-only sports/youth organization academy type thing.

This meant that due to the youth academy taking roughly half the boys, that the small primary and middle school was like, 75% girls. It was a running joke... and the class graduation photos are all mostly girls.

I was a very timid young boy, and afraid of sports. So I went to the public schools. I never made many friends. My only friend was a girl of my age in primary school, who was kind of tomboyish.

So at home I had only sisters and a mother, at school there was mostly girls, my only friend was a girl. As a young boy, I typically would go days with only interacting with girls, aside from the bus driver and my father once a weekend. (The teachers were also all girls except the PE teacher, but this is common everywhere)

I feel as though this has a major effect on my psychology and made me a weak and sensitive person, as I lacked male influences in my life :sad:

Loops used to be a great way to find people who not only share the same musical taste, but also the same taste in video entertainment (namely animu).
If you've ever liked flash, I encourage you to make a loop, and post it to /f/. Even if it's a simple 5 second .gif with some music, do it. As for you non-contributors, show loopers some love, by replying to their threads. Heyuri/f/ had a great thing going when 4chan first closed down /f/. People would post old and new flashes, and every thread would get at least a few replies. Now the only time something gets a reply, is when it's OC directly related to this site's mascot or a specific event. Which is fine, but new flashes that aren't related to a board tan would be good, too.
In short, think of a nice song and a clip from a good anime, and make a loop, DAMET :furious:

I had a weird one. It started with me sitting at a restaurant (I think it was an old tram or train at first, but it slowly shifted into a beachside restaurant, location changes happen often in my dreams. What's important is that there were rows of seats and lots of people sitting and talking with each other). I was smoking, but for some reason I could inhale smoke for way longer than irl, so I kept inhaling out of curiosity. And then I exhaled it all in a big cloud of smoke. This cloud "hit" a blonde girl in front of me. She got really pissy about it and her friend started recording me with her phone, threatening that she will call the cops. I got spooked by that and so I tried to take away her phone, but couldn't because of the sluggish movements you usually get in dreams. Instead I took out a knife out of nowhere (kinda similar to pic rel, except longer) and stabbed the girl multiple times to death. Afterwards I started killing everyone else in the train/restaurant, like 10 people at least. Some kids, a young girl and an even younger boy, managed to escape me, and so I pursued. I run outside, and only then realised I was near a beach and that the place I left was a restaurant. I spotted the kids as they went somwhere else. I run after them for some time, managing to put my foot or arm just in time to stop the doors they went into from closing (I had a feeling that these doors would be locked automatically if they closed). At some point I thought I almost got them locked with me in some room, but they suddenly disappeared after I looked away from them for a second, and the dream shifted to 3rd person perspective and became a True Crime Documentary. Some guy with deep voice started describing the murders I commited, and how I was outsmarted by two kids into locking myself in a boiler room :dark:

I also had another, shorter dream. In it I got mugged while entering my house, by some homeless looking guy. Instead of a knife he held a... potato peeler to my throat :sweat2: I cried out for help and some of my old colleagues, whom I haven't seen in years irl, arrived. Only to take the side of the mugger and accuse me of being at fault in this situation. Some fucking friends :angry:
