how does it differ from other services like heyuri uploader and catbox?

from a cursory look, it has an account system for managing files (I think catbox also has similar) and claims to have a system that notifies users a day before their files would be deleted off the system

however a file uploader doesn't need to differ from other file uploaders. Heyuri has a limited storage, catbox blocks VPNs, so a new file host offering to offload some of teh weight of sharing files is always a good thing

up the limit to 500mb since you don't have users, also consider adding a public directory with thumbnails or something cute

I don't get why so many file hosting sites don't just allow 1gb or even higher download speeds. Even big companies like google drive when I download from them its like 20mb/s. So I guess my suggestion is to make the download speed 1gb/s or higher, or at least make it configurable

at its core theres not a whole lot to change up about a file uploader but user-wise you have more leeway in terms of how deletions are handled since you're warned in advance (in most cases).

nope, entirely separate except for some borrowed js and styling from kokonotsuba

i run a pomf-like instance but thats mostly just used for temporary uploads in Chat@Heyuri - this is my first serious attempt
