First episode releases in Jabanees time June 2. Are you excited for it? And, more importantly, do you smoke like Chainsmoker cat?

They're marketing the crap out of this. Not my thing. A bit odd that smoking is treated like such a novelty. I wonder what that's about.
>>
isnt odd how a mainstream anime like this is being pushed as "ground breaking anti censorship" anime, but the transgressive barriers theyre breaking is literal drug use?

Excuse me, but is this the 1960s? how is doing drugs controversial? You go outside and you trip over heroin zombies.

We have global banks censoring artists for drawing lolis, but this anime which acts like an educational video for drug addicts is considered "anti-censorship"?

Something is very fishy here.
>>
>>6823
Quite the america-centric worldview you have there. In Japan, there are hardly any drugs. Even alot of prescription meds like adderal are banned there. Drug use still IS unheard of and controversial there. Same goes for much of east asia. Keep in mind that in places like Singapore you can get the death penalty for carrying in personal amounts of thc oil
>>
>Japan, there are hardly any drugs.
An america-centric worldview to assume thats a bad thing.
>>
>>6826
I didn't assume it was a bad thing

Every so often I'll go back and watch a couple of random episodes, which there are enough of (*^ー゚)b

Who here remembers Harem Potter?
>>
I'm still mad about how the manga just suddenly fucking ended. I was really big on Negima up to that point, even if it was shota harem DBZ and had been for a while by the end.

There was a sequel manga, but the whole cast changed and the time skip was just too big, so I couldn't get myself to give a shit.
>>
I used to take off the plastic wrap on the negima manga in the store to look at the panchira :nyaoo-closedeyes:
>>
I only watched the first TV series - I vaguely remember enjoying it, so I dunno why I didn't continue
>>
I watched and read all of it but god knows why because it wasn't very good other than the art. I remember the Shaft anime which was a very loose adaptation being alright. I suppose if you just love harem and shonen battle manga this will tick the boxes.

For those that like rock and anime.
Honestly, i feel the plot doesn't go anywhere most episodes without it actually being a slice-of-life kind of deal. Also, the animation can get pretty cheap some times. I like it though since it has style

I'm only on episode 11, so no spoiler pls.

I'm reading through NGNL's first novel now. The ecchi being limited with text is a bit meh, but a good part of first chapter was about Sora fondling Steph's chest while Shiro-chan is filming him for later fap material, and Steph getting her pantsu wet from it... It really is a step up from anime version :nosebleed:

After a small break I finished vol1 and it was great!

>>6680
I think that was filmed by Shiro so Sora could fap to it, but she later decided it shows too much and ended up not showing to Sora. She becomes a little jealous sometimes but nonetheless helps collecting material so Sora can fap :nyaoo-closedeyes:
It's also revealed that in the old world, Sora used to fap during times where he thought Shiro was asleep, but the sound of him fapping would wake Shiro up but she would keep fake asleep. He was upset that he wouldn't get to marry due to this, but Shiro consoles saying that she would take him

Well, onwards to vol2! :x3:

PLEASE make things!!!
Don't just consume otaku content!! Make GAMES, make websites, make manga, even if it is doo-doo. Make some kind of OC I BEG YOU

The DIY otaku culture that built all the anime you love came from people who make stuff!!!
If you want to see more panchira, start drawing it! if you cant draw, you can learn to! or use money to pay somebody else!, or even use AI, whatever helps you make what you want to see a reality!

> all the anime you love came from people who make stuff
All the anime I love is owned by big companies like Bandai Namco. They produce it to make money. Why would I bother to produce stuff for free? I won't even take a shit without a paycheck. It doesn't make any sense.

Most artistic/cultural industries tend to give low pay to the artists, because they will work anyways out of passion. OP mentioned the importance of the doujinshi culture in the manga and anime industry, a concrete example of that is GAINAX that started as a group of art students who made anime out of passion.

Hello I'm an artist, I make manga when I feel like it and I'm kinda bored, anyone have ideas, or charaters, jokes, settings ect, give me all of it lol,I like to draw sexy women hehe:blush:

I love Mushoku Tensei Rudeus is one of us it is literally the redemption story of a pedophile NEET.

This show was kinda hard to watch at times because of how real it sometimes got and honestly i feel like it had more balls than Welcome to the NHK tbh because the show doesn't hold back on the subject matter and says what it wants to say whereas the NHK anime adaptation dips its toes but is afraid to actually say anything compared to the original NHK novel.

I deleted a discussion off this thread about whether the main character was a rorikon or not - leaving 2 posts up for posterity. It seems like a debatable topic with some users objecting the claim, but let's not focus on that specific detail on Heyuri. Thx for understanding (´人`)
>>
I didn't like S2 so hoping that they turn it around for the new season.
>>

Rudy's depression and erectile dysfunction arc was sad.
>>
I love this anime because the protagonist feels very real. Every character feels like a real person despite the fantasy setting. It's rare.

I completely agree also season 3 is here.

I finished Cutie Honey (1973)

OP here, I watched Shin Cutie Honey and Re: Cutie Honey...

Latter was the best, u can feel gainax at some points and being from 2000s helped it have teh best feeling (subjective but most Heyurizens should agree). It's just 3 episodes so I suggest it to everyone

Sad manga is great. I want some more tragic manga. Can you reccomend me some? I will give you one, so please give me many more...

Rain's Head (Ame no Kubi) is a little manga that I read about 3 years ago, but still pops up in my mind. It's a very heartwarming story about a homeless girl (loli, since Heyuri loves that) taken in by a taxidermist, and their little story. It's only about 13 pretty short chapters, so please give it a shot.

Probably not really the audience for this, but I really enjoyed Kachou Shima Kousaku and the several sequel and prequel series. Having read all 17 volumes of the original series, alongside the sequel, Buchou Shima Kousaku, (I am waiting for the translation of the next sequel), I wanted to share it here in case there are people with similar taste.

Usually the workplace is a boring setting, but I thought that the author did a really good job of making things interesting. There's plenty of cheating and OL office drama, and the occasional ero page, but it never drags on for too long. My personal favorite parts was the inter-factional rivalry in the corporation, cunning executives trying to cut down the MC, hostile takeovers thwarted by last minute thinking... even something you might think would be totally boring, a shareholders meeting, is turned into a very exciting event in this manga.

This series is really great.
I starts off as basically wish-fulfillment for Jap businessmen, but it really does develop into a good drama and exploration of the Japanese economic situation over the lifespan of the various serializations.
