Imagine you're unable to access Internet for 7 years straight starting tomorrow.

What mangas do you wish are in your very ooki storage now, and why do you choose to keep those?

There are a lot of duplicates in there too; I've just done a quick dedupe on the index and got 2369 titles. It also has a few manuals, so I'd estimate the exact number is around 2000 (only the games in the pack, of course).

>any important ones?
I'm probably missing a lot, but here's some brands to start:
>C's ware
known for Kanno Hiroyuki: DESIRE, EVE Burst Error, XENON; but Kindan no Ketsuzoku was also reasonably popular
>Silky's
their games are less ambitious than C's Ware, but similarly fun: Nonomura Byouin no Hitobito, Ai Shimai, Jack - Haitoku no Megami (picrel), Reira - Slave Doll
>Sogna
all games are beautifully animated, and even voiced - on DOS!! truly a display of human ingenuity, also the scenes are just really hot
>Elf
known for Doukyuusei, Kakyuusei, YU-NO, Isaku; their less popular games are worth trying too
>Alice Soft
known for Rance, Toushin Toshi, AmbivalenZ, Only You; also check Ayumi-chan Monogatari
>Cocktail Soft
known for Pia Carrot; I also liked Dokidoki Vacation
>Leaf
known for Shizuku, Kizuato (the former even has a TL, the latter is WIP)
>Active
they got popular later, but you can expect games with Sei Shoujo to be fun: Mahjong Gensoukyoku series, Hana Yori Dango 2
>Cybertech Custom
not a VN, but they did CyberBlock Metal Orange which is so popular it's getting a remake this year (but the Sharp X68000 version looks better than PC98). also, TEEN has some nice music & yuri
>Giga
known for Variable Geo, but their most popular titles are 2000s

Minor correction:
>Cat's Pro
Looking it up now, this is actually a Panda House brand - the other being Melody, which made Escalation'95 (Fairy Dust was the publisher) and Kurayami, which I enjoyed a lot. (Kurayami even has an ongoing fan TL project, but I don't know its status.)

If you're on Windows, I recommend Neko Project 21/W. For Linux, Neko Project II Kai is more or less a port of 21/W.
There is also RetroArch which wraps Neko Project in a more appealing UI, but I found raw Neko Project easier to understand ^^

thanks. so the files are roughly almost always under 10mb each. like those gba roms. so thats why they fit in a floppy disk.

obscure anime torrents all have 0 seeds, meanwhile the streaming sites use giant repos that contain all kinds of old anime and OVAs

In a way with torrents, popularity indicates availability, youre relying on there being some guy with your tastes who happens to be seeding the torrent for what you want...
>>
I usally never had any issue to DL whatever i want. That said, maybe i don't DL old anime from teh 80s.

you can use animeworld
is pretty good but
for old anime it mainly has dubs unfortunately

cap your speeds then

I watched Nagato yuki no shoushitsu, and while teh art style took some time to get used to in comparison with Kyoto animation - it totaled sux0rz horze ass, but once u get used to it. Teh show was pretty good - i saw first ep on air 11 years ago. I finished it a few days ago! :xd:

It was surprisingly fun to see Yuki in a none kuudere personality and rather more a very shy and awkward instead! I won't spoil anything, but it had a twist which i wasnt expecting as i just thought it was a romance from start to end. While Haruhi herself take part, i feel she lose her real charm she had in teh origial. I guess this is canon as it's part of teh light novels - so this should take part right after teh disappearance of haruhi? Defentily worth watching if u like teh serie! I regret waiting so long to watch it and it's still better than endless 8! :x3:
>>
Seen the first two eps, and they were fine. I'll definitely carry on, since the second episode was really cute. I definitely still prefer Melancholy and even Dissapearance Nagato, but any Nagato is still Nagato and still adorable
>>
Original is better in every single aspect, i just thought that this was pretty good for what it is. That said, i think teh movie is my fav of them all!

We will watch Rosario + Vampire (2008) on the next Saturday (23th), starting 18:00 UTC

Join from here when the time comes: https://watch.heyuri.lol/r/stream

It's about an ordinary human boy accidentally enrolling in a high school for youkai, who tries to score with the sexy vampire(s?) he meets there - I dunno much about this anime besides that it's ranked with mild nudity. There are two seasons, but we will only watch the first season together :nyaoo-closedeyes:

For newcomers, you can find the detailed information and our previous streams from here: https://wiki.heyuri.net/index.php?title=Heyuri_Cytube
Heyuri's rules apply in the CyTube channel.

Also please fill our nominations page where we pick these shows from: https://cgi.heyuri.net/nominate/ - you must log in at least once every 4~ months to keep your votes intact!

One of the best anime of 2026 so far.

The show has a lot of fanservice and doesn't censor anything they even bring back the old school pantyshot.

Kanan is hot and a great character and the show is hilarious loving it so far.

I am curious about teh 90s as i seen pretty much everything from 2000+

is burn up worth giving a watch or should i just skip it? its been sitting on my watch later for a while.
>>
Absolutely. The first OVA is only 1 episode and it's like 40 minutes, so no harm no foul there. I think the two spin-offs (Burn Up W, Burn Up X) are actually far superior (more characters, more fanservice, wackier hijinks and humor). But you should start with the first one to see if it floats your boat.

is /a/ watching anything from the spring 2026 season? Whatre you watching? Whatve you dropped?

kamiina botan is my hit of the season, the animators are just going insane every episode (every episode has a different director too). it's yurislop for sure but i'm totally sold
>>
>>6407
First 2 episodes of needy girl are kinda rough, I can't lie. It gets kinda better from 3 onwards, and I found it interesting enough to keep up with it
>>
>>6416
Nah, the first was the second best so far, though the direction in episode two did feel tacky at times. The 4th episode was my favorite episode so far.
Also, I don't really think the message of the anime is gonna be "internet is bad".
>>
>it seemed like it wanted to copy the form of like lain or evangelion or whatever other "deep" anime without actually having any substance other than "ZOMG THEE INTERNETS ARE BAD??!!"
Wouldn't this also apply to indie games that are acclaimed to be "deep" but actually have not-so-complex themes? Look back to Mouthwashing for example. Since we're talking about an anime based off of an indie game, there are cases where the message is stupidly simple but the game is lauded to be deep, only because most of the fans tend to be emotionally sensitive in a neurodivergent way.
