Tanin no Kankei is about an awkward guy teacher getting in some all-girls school, and his relations with a certain trouble student... It's an ecchi show!
For Shin Cutie Honey, it is also seemingly an ecchi show about some superhero girl(?) saving her city from some evil(?). By the way it's a "new" installment for an older version from 1973. MAL lists it as a direct sequel, I don't think it matters a lot (though am yet to watch the older show myself) but for those who care, they can download and watch the old 25-episode series until the day. You can find it with searching "Cutie Honey 1973" on nyaa.

Probably not really the audience for this, but I really enjoyed Kachou Shima Kousaku and the several sequel and prequel series. Having read all 17 volumes of the original series, alongside the sequel, Buchou Shima Kousaku, (I am waiting for the translation of the next sequel), I wanted to share it here in case there are people with similar taste.

Shima Kousaku is a mid level manager (Kachou | Office Chief) at Hatsushiba Electric, a fictional mega corporation based off Mitsubishi Electric and other huge companies. The first series takes place entirely within Japan's economic boom in the early to mid 80s (the first volume came out in '83).

It's got low level office politics, romance, thrilling corporate drama, and occasional mysteries and crime. Though being printed primarily in morning newspapers, it's pretty light reading most of the time.

Usually the workplace is a boring setting, but I thought that the author did a really good job of making things interesting. There's plenty of cheating and OL office drama, and the occasional ero page, but it never drags on for too long. My personal favorite parts was the inter-factional rivalry in the corporation, cunning executives trying to cut down the MC, hostile takeovers thwarted by last minute thinking... even something you might think would be totally boring, a shareholders meeting, is turned into a very exciting event in this manga.

i love finding something that really really good that get me hooked, i am currentily watching Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger, i saw teh first 75ep like in 2010 and thought it was a easy 10/10. And now after all these years, and finally watching s2, damn its fucking good!

I find i naturally bing watch something that i really love. Some other anime i watch just to "seen it". It's not bad, but i am OK with just watching 1-2 eps in a row.

Don't just consume otaku content!! Make GAMES, make websites, make manga, even if it is doo-doo. Make some kind of OC I BEG YOU

At first I thought it was just an average CGDCT type of show with yet another stupid gimmick... but then I saw that other catgirl injecting heroin in the trailer, and I've also read it's social commentary on abuse and dependencies?

I never heard anyone meantion Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai, an anime by Kyoto animation, right inbetweenn Clannad & K-on, overcast in their glory, this anime seems to be forgotten. I can't say it looks to interesting, but i can't deny that it's Kyoto animation whose behind it. Ofc i gotten curious for that reason alone.

I watched Nagato yuki no shoushitsu, and while teh art style took some time to get used to in comparison with Kyoto animation - it totaled sux0rz horze ass, but once u get used to it. Teh show was pretty good - i saw first ep on air 11 years ago. I finished it a few days ago! :xd:

It was surprisingly fun to see Yuki in a none kuudere personality and rather more a very shy and awkward instead! I won't spoil anything, but it had a twist which i wasnt expecting as i just thought it was a romance from start to end. While Haruhi herself take part, i feel she lose her real charm she had in teh origial. I guess this is canon as it's part of teh light novels - so this should take part right after teh disappearance of haruhi? Defentily worth watching if u like teh serie! I regret waiting so long to watch it and it's still better than endless 8! :x3:

One of the best anime of 2026 so far.

The show has a lot of fanservice and doesn't censor anything they even bring back the old school pantyshot.

Kanan is hot and a great character and the show is hilarious loving it so far.

i think it's just pretentious.
the scenes try to be deep but are embarassingly bad, because there's a lack of context or deeper meaning, and whoever makes this thinks out of context scene->deep.
For example, real life flowers blooming, or the word "PIETA'" (piety) coming out of nowhere on the screen. Ah yes, please give me a black screen with the text of the dialogue on it so I know it's deep. Also will you put some classical greek and roman statues around so I know we're supposed to be intellectual and elevated? Also give me some skips so i know we're all "dissociative" and cool. Russian literature references? totally not the #1 way for how someone who wants to appear deep to others.
It's embarassing. It's like how people with zero intuition make art, a deep well but it's just a shallow lake instead.

It's also a narcisist power fantasy and that scores points nowadays. It's so popular because the target audience likes streamers and idealizes the streamer life, thinking a narcisist woman addicted to social media and external validation "is totally like me" because they also put male interests in her (do the math and figure out why this would never be popular if she was a male). "Oh she's a streamer whore but you see she also likes the same games i like, browses imageboards and reads russian literature (in russian by the way) because she's actually so smart and beautiful and she was bullied and ignored in school like me and she also actually hates social media (while completely participating in it and promoting it like the whole series)"

She's made in a lab for the male nerd audience and this was already a critique of the game. And if you look up the author story it's pretty clear she's everything he wanted to be.
There's also "other stuff" they put in to get even more audience and cash grab, but i won't talk about it to avoid breaking any rules, since i probably already did.

it's so depressing. i think the reason is mostly because not knowing how to properly adapt the source material at this point.
it was literally framed as if it was a proper revival and then nothing else happened because it's hardly practical at this point. the gap between fucking killed the series in the longrun. you'll just see that word over and over. "impractical". probably more to it than that but i can never rewatch the 2018 version because it's just painful. fumoffu is beloved to me.

I liked the silly school comedy side of the show a lot more than the more serious mech side, though I will admit that it was quality in its own right.

The cultural festival episode is amazing. I still think about the army marching song in it a lot.
