So, what was your favorite cartoon channel when you were younger? Mine was Cartoon Network. I did watch Disney Channel from time to time, but never Nickelodeon for example, dunno why

As a kid (90s to early 00s) I wasn't a big fan of Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon - I thought most of the shows exclusive to them were just weird and/or not particularly funny sweat2

I preferred the kinds of cartoons we'd get on standard terrestrial TV channels, and of course teh classic Disney/Warner Brothers/Hanna-Barbera/etc. stuff

CN but I wish they hadn't only broadcasted dubbed anime. I watched almost no anime for about 15 years because I thought all anime was stupid and gay mostly because of how bad the dubs were. Also because just about every anime chosen for Toonami and Adult Swim was shit. I never tried actually watching a good CGDCT or mahou shoujo series until I was 30, I wonder what I would've thought of something like Ichigo Mashimaro or Doremi when I was younger.

cartoon network had really fun flash games on their website when they were cooler especially the hi hi puffy flash game. i wonder what cartoon network did to get scrub all existence of this show if it was a license issue or whatever

EEnE was the shit back then. I haven't really watched much of the school season though because the concept kind of ruins the feeling of freedom that the earlier seasons had sweat2

Courage the Cowardly Dog and Teen Titans, mostly were the ones I watched when I was little. When the latter was finished (or cancelled, so I hear), I would watch reruns of it on Boomerang. The former was, and still is, pretty weird but funny. I know a lot of people talk about they got nightmares from Courage, but I think most of it flew over my head.

I recall my mother forbidding me from watching Ed, Edd n Eddy because she thought the characters' voices were annoying. (^Д^)

well that was fast sweat3
that guy died before i was even born but i was told he was the very definition of paranoia so he would probably not browse a non-albanian website
liking lolis seems to be very common among world leaders though

We only had one main common cartoon channel where I lived and when I was growing up. It was called Teletoon and they aired a broad range of shows, from children cartoons to anime to weird animated porn to experimental stuff. It was pretty cool until they got too big because they ended up pivoting to generic mainstream cartoons.

I think you mean to say, liking lolis is pretty common for everyone! cool

I watched Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon about equally. Courage the Cowardly Dog was my favorite show bar none. While I liked Japanese animation most from the beginning, I wasn't a big fan of most of what was on CN anime-wise because I never liked shounen stuff even as a kid. I was too used to "everything resets" shows and didn't get into shows with long arcs where you'd have to follow a plot line over a season. And I was bored watching guys battle it out when I just wanted moe and cute girls. So I only got into Japanese anime "for real" when I discovered comedy shows like Azumanga Daioh and harem series like Love Hina. I loved watching Sailor Moon whenever it came on though. I still want to give Mars a kiss.

My parents did not let me watch TV when I was younger, but I've watched Justice League very recently and I like it!

Similar for me, but my parents only forbade me from watching Ed, Edd and Eddy and The Cramp Twins, because they were giving a bad example or whatever

My parents told me there was a period where they stopped me from watching Power Rangers because it made me go around the house kicking things unsure

That show was from that weird time when CN tried going into live action for some reason, maybe because Disney Channel was succesful with that formula at the time, but CN is called CARTOON Network for a reason and people didn't really like that... well, apart from Destroy Build Destroy, really only it was liked by some.

I still can't believe CN got Andrew W.K. to be the host of a kids show, let alone a kids show about actual unsimulated destruction of buildings
