In 2019, Kellerhals pressured the Virgin Islands government to waive travel rules for Epstein, who faced special reporting requirements as a sex offender. Later that year, Epstein was arrested for federal sex trafficking charges. Kellerhals filed an updated will from Epstein, signed just two days before he was found dead in his prison cell.
