my neighbor asked me to help him with his GAYming laptop.basically his windows is kill and refuses to boot. i thought i could install TEH win10 ltsc but teh installation image has no required drivers!!(what drivers?)
i look at official website:
https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Katana-GF66-11UX/support?sub_product=Katana-GF66-11UE#driver
there is almost TWO nigabytes of drivers and i feel like its something to be installed on top of a working windows, not during installation process...
should i go with another win image, win11 maybe?? or maybe there is a way to put drivers inside of iso? what drivers then? how? i cant believe nvidia drivers can take 1.5nigabytes unarchivedsweat

after years on gentoo i just have no idea how you guys still use windows, really. it DOES NOT WORK out of the box. angry

nah guys, my neighbor is 15yo kid with broccoli haircut, he needs his laptop only to play dota2. he has no problems living with his phone only.
and i dont think bsd will work with nvidia gpu glare1
>>
just install win11 then, and put a secret crypto miner on it biggrin
>>
use a normal-ass install image and then strip it after
there's probably a way to side load at least the basics so you can install the rest, but that's effort

ltsc is made for bare minimum enterprise shit so enthusiast hardware is bound to not be supported

Games that work natively on Linux run better under Linux than under Windows

Dota2 is one of them, so I recomend you install SteamOS
>>
ethernet just works on 10 ltsc installs without drivers, get SDIO driver installer (from majorgeeks or you will give ivan access to the pc) and run it as admin, it will detect the drivers needed for windows 10 and install. my hp victus 15 doesnt have windows 10 drivers in it's support page either but this method works with every driver i have
