All new image formats are worthless and the guy who invented webp should be tried for crimes against humanity.
BILLIONS of collective hours WASTED on worthless changeover systems to convert a webp, avif, etc, into a normal image file. All to save some trillion $ company like 1% storage space so it can more efficiently serve bloated trash to 100000000000 indians.

There's one good new image format (JXL). Even though Adobe and Apple and Intel and Facebook etc are endorsing it, every browser is conspiring to never support it since they're all owned by Google and Google is butthurt that nobody likes Webp.
