Please b& this sort of stuff. I have irl and normal net friends who talk/message like this, and it's really grating to see it here. It definitely constitues as rule 8

for one it does not. And you dont need to take internets so seriously anyway xd

You need to read the wiki or lurk moar or something, that would in no way be in line with site culture xd
Rule 8 is supposed to keep off the site what isn't in line with the site's culture, this is literal TikTokspeak.
>>
I am not knowledgeable about "tiktokspeak", but a skull emoji is fine. Using any emoji/emote in any context should be, including misuses

That said, without searching it up I don't have an idea what "done goofed" means @ >>67482 so it may be b& new slang if not proven otherwise

I always see people say stuff like "you'd need to be a user of r8 sites to know that this is rule 8, so why are you complaining about it", but wouldn't that be true for everything that's rule 8?
Like if someone only ever used heyuri their entire lives they wouldn't know what "based" means (outside of the dictionary meaning), but that wouldn't mean "based" would now not be bannable.
>>
Teh thing about Rule 8 is that it's primarily targeting a certain brand of stale, joy-killing, 4chan-derived culture that has dominated the majority of imageboards for a very long time - a culture which often involves adopting "outsider" cultures to troll other users ("ironic shitposting")

What Rule 8 is not targeting, however, is anything and everything that is perceived to be (but often isn't) a new/recent trend outside of Heyuri - especially when it's something that is totally innocuous and you'd have to really go out of ur way to be teh ang0rz about it unsure

The issue isn't that it's new or necessarily the emoji itself, it's the context it's used in, alongside the text "NOOOWAYYY" which is generally some stupid reaction used on TikTok and Discord towards pretty much anything the poster doesn't like. With this in mind, I think it would fall under Rule 8
>>67497
I think the reason others here know about it is because you see this everywhere no matter where you go online and you can even see it IRL at times.
>>
That's the main intent of Rule 8, but to reply 67497-san's point, there are indeed some buzzwords that R8 bans (see: R8.c), and the line (of its "annoying-ness", given it's indeed something from post-2006~) is drawn at staff's discretion, and even then context of the post/intention of the poster may matters. I generally leave it to native English-speaking mods nyaoo-closedeyes

But in practice we never see these kind of words on Heyuri, and there's no point in arguing over the way to enforce rules about hypothetical posts we won't ever get xd

even wikipedia acknowledges that gen Z culture is almost entirely just mimicking gay niggers
>>
A lot of the things listed on that article were popular in the 2000s and 2010s with my age group (early to mid 30s) - and a lot of which derived from 4chan xd

As always, the biggest thing that reveals someone's n00bieness is when they think old things are new!

>>67498
honestly, this adds a lot of clarity on what R8 is

>>67502
it honestly does bug me the dates listed for a bunch of that list

You know, honestly, we could probably just let stuff like this sort itself out. I don't think anyone on here likes these kinds of posts but if some do post then the community can always self-moderate nyaoo-closedeyes

Like some heyurians forced a stupid fucking meme of just saying PENIS, like it's not even funny god damm and I still don't have no issue with it and when someone just does a text with a skull And few will just go like
>RULE 8 RULE 8!!!
like grown up guys, just a silly little text
and other times /b/ goes infested with lolicon shit, like guys just go to your respective places, I fucking hate lolicon, I fucking hate it
>>
sorry for going with this ranting is just that Im getting tired of getting fed with this bullshit
>>
>>67514
>I fucking hate lolicon
Heyuri just isn't for you
>>
first of all, lolicon is heyuri!
didn't happen in this example, but people getting b& over "silly little text"s for R8 is also sometimes heyuri - so don't misuse the quoting feature!
not regarding moral lines (referring to the report @ >>67512 ) is heyuri as well
the guy who spammed "PENIS" across threads was one person who was obviously a spammer, and now gone. And if it was a "stupid fucking meme" -which is the consensus-, why didn't you have any issues with it? unsure
you can very well dislike parts of this site and use this board to rant (even if it won't solve anything), but are you really enjoying your time here?
>>
>>67518
Look Its nothing much It was more to just spew out what I was feeling, I dont hate heyuri, I was just you know saying how I felt about the place in my eyes

Idk I used to enjoy this place while ago now Idk, I still cant leave it , idk it just became a sentimental place for me to come sometimes, even if I have my criticisms it still a part of my life

like grown up guys, just a silly little VAGINA
and other times /b/ goes infested with ANUS shit, like guys just go to your respective places, I fucking hate ANUS, I fucking hate it

Dead baby /pol/ack porn = okay
Someone saying “book porn” = NOOOOOOO r8! r8! MODS!!
^^ retarded logic of Heyuri users

(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)
>>
>>67531
He's not wrong though dark
>>
>>67533
There were plenty of dead babies on pre-2007 imageboards before /pol/ existed but there weren't any annoying gen Z kids, just annoying millennial kids which wasn't quite as bad. Some heyurizens wish R8 would just ban gen Z altogether but it doesn't.
>>
>>67544
>Some heyurizens wish R8 would just ban gen Z altogether but it doesn't
the great majority of good users, that is, active, OC-making people whose activity on the site isn't just limited to complaining and patypooping, are gen Z. So maybe if you hate so-called "zoomers" so much, wizardchan would be more of your liking?
>>
And regarding minor incidents like this one, and I know this thread has gotten long and it's way past the time of giving any opinions, as someone said previously, I believe the community can self-moderate. If you don't like it, don't engage it. Simple.
>>
>the great majority of good users, that is, active, OC-making people whose activity on the site isn't just limited to complaining and patypooping, are gen Z.
How do you know? I've made some of the best OC ever and I'm in my 30s.
>>
>>67548
That's only because gen z-ers are majority of users here. You could aswell say that the awful users who make the worst posts on Heyuri are mostly gen z, and that would also be correct dark

Perhaps the issue for some is not that it's old but that they think it's tired and unfunny, as the same memes don't stay funny forever. (Although I do think PENISposting is lolzy ヽ(´∇`)ノ)

I think what you tiktok haters need to realize is the mods arent your heroes. Eventually, they will kick off the downfall of this site. You cant rely on moderators to fight your battles for you; if you want to see tiktok fags leave, ignore their posts. If you find it absolutely necessary to engage with them, always be as passive aggressive to them as possible, and do as much as you can to make their experience on this site miserable. They'll much faster that way, since if the mods were to just remove their posts and ban them, they'll see that as a challenge, and shit up our boards even more.

Wise words. Natural forum life cycle.
>>
>ignore their posts
It's generally the best thing to do, but u will always get the village idiot that thinks kicking up a fuss and fighting fire with fire is the right solution, so it never truly works

>always be as passive aggressive to them as possible, and do as much as you can to make their experience on this site miserable
No. Heyuri is the way it is precisely because it has always rejected that kind of behavior, and those who try to initiate it. That method only ever succeeds in transforming healthy communities into hostile battlefields of bitterness - where every user views all the other users as unwelcome intruders - like all the other places that thought "let's be unbearable assholes and drive away the users we don't like!" would make for a good community

The best alternative to ignoring things is to turn them into something fun and/or creative instead - the more users that choose this path, the better things will be biggrin

The OP is clearly normalfag speech. Normalfag speech is just as sociopathic as nu-4chan speech, because they are actually the same user-type.
