People who have near death experiences after attempting suicide often say they see demons tormenting and mocking them on the other side. That it feels like they were the ones putting dark thoughts in them even when they couldn't see them.

Just imagine what those people who die of self asphyxia must feel like. Not only the shame of having died in such a way, but what kind of a dark space they lived in to begin with?

A friend from overseas told us he used to fool around with ouijas a lot in his teens. One day, a friend of his killed himself after a period of intense depression. Inevitably, someone suggested they should try contacting him on the ouija.

They contacted what they thought was their friend. At first, the communication was fairly normal teenage shit. They thought they were talking to their friend. But it slowly became weirder and weirder. The spirit behind the board began asking them to "come over" by committing suicide themselves, and told them that they would die soon. They freaked out, and stopped using the ouija. However, four of them started seeing some creepy looking dude out of the corner of their eye, even in broad daylight. When they asked each other, they confirmed they were seeing the same person, even though they had not described it to each other previously.

Over time, the friend of mine who told me the story moved countries and lost touch with most of his teenage years friends except for one, who even visited from time to time. My friend continued to see this apparition, until one day he saw it gaze away from himself, and instead focus on his visiting friend, whom he hugged before disappearing.

My friend stopped seeing the spirit for good. And his visiting friend got himself killed in an accident.
