I will be going to pittsburgh in a month or two, and I would like to invite any heyurizens that can come to an unofficial meet. I suggest this be done at a bar or resturant. This is my first time going so perhaps anyone from pittsburgh knows a good place?Marked for deletion (Old)
also the more the merrier, it would be cool if 10+ people showed up
This spot looks like a cool place to meet up! Multi-terabyte HDDs and SSDs are cheap these days so don't be stingy, we should all bring our "cheese pizza" collections to share if you know what I mean so all of our collections can grow much bigger!
>>130315>also the more the merrier, it would be cool if 10+ people showed upnigga the entire site consists of 24 posters only
>the entire site consists of 24 posters onlyHey, that's not true!We have at least 66 more people than that! assuming many of them haven't left or forgotten about this place...
sounds kewl, but probably unfeasible for most of us since we're all spread out across teh heug globe
Half of the users are in the U.S., and if you're not you can fly. I might go

>>130314i thought pittsburgh was in england, the name sounds like what a brit would call a city
>i thought pittsburgh was in england, the name sounds like what a brit would call a cityAccording to teh interwebs:>Pittsburgh is named after William Pitt, a former prime minister of England who had Scottish roots.>When Pittsburgh was named, it was to pay respect to both Pitt and his Scottish heritage.>In Scotland, most towns are pronounced "borough" but spelled "burgh" -- which is how Pittsburgh became Pittsburgh.https://www.wtae.com/article/happy-h-day-a-celebration-of-how-pittsburgh-isnt-pittsburg/10331478
>>130725We also speak a separate language than English here in Pittsburgh (and the greater region) with it’s own vocabulary and grammar rules that is allegedly based off of some ancient scottish and celtic dialects
