Black Jack...? It's been a while since I read a novel. ┐(゚~゚)┌
Tiger Tiger.
Progressive Conservatism
Introduction to the Study of the Hindu Doctrines and the Tao Te Ching
I'm reading Evola again. Which he's pretty funny when he's not trying to because he's so bat shit crazy. You know he believes raping virgins can recharge your power levels and soul?
>>117011My dog ate my copy of revolt against the modern world before I could ever read it
>>117011Cool font. I'm betting that edition was published in the 90s or late 80s(specifically early 90s). They loved that kind of Art Deco design back then.
THUNDER BELOW!! a real life story of an american submarine blowing up japanese ships and stuff
>>117011Was that the first book by Evola you read? You should've started with "Metaphysics of Power", to better understand Evola's other works. You also should've first familiarized yourself with some terminology and logical processes of these works by reading some of Guenon's and Adi Shankra's works. Also listening to his only recorded interview is a must, don't forget to take notes:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib2vAwM4dY4
>>117019I read alt right guide for youth originally but before that I read René and Spengler so I was somewhat familiar
>>117019Saw this interview honestly for like when this was recorded he was in good shape for a man his age shocking he'd die like years later didn't he die in 74?
>>117013Sad now your dog gets to know estoeric knowledge you never knew
>>117019I read the Doctrine of Awakening last year, pretty clarifying overview of Buddhism sans some bizzare comments. I only vibe with Evola because he was a vampiresque suicidal freak. In better health, I find myself reading leftist sociology.
>>117011Evola was a retard and so are his followers. You want a critique of modernity? Go read Heidegger or MacIntyre. Don't waste your life on "alt right" trash
>>117028But it's interesting no shit he's a retard dude believed in wacky shit. Also I like Rene and Spengler moar but Evola is a good funny read
>>117027>leftist sociology
I was also reading Evola before but I'm reading the original novel of NHK now ^_^
Had a marathon on Dostoevsky last year. "The Demons" immediately became one of my favorites, I just really love how the events snowball and how it starts off rather dull, uneventful and casual, and in the second half everyone just dies tragically "The Karamazov Brothers" are also great, but I can't call it my favorite, since it was basically never finished and the story never ended the way the author originally intended."The Idiot" is the perfect source material for a shoujo manga adaptation!I recently found Pierre Drieu la Rochelle's "Gilles" at a bookstore and immediately bought it. I haven't read anything for a while, but I find the author's personality really interesting. And considering that "Gilles" is pretty much an autobiographical novel, I bet it'll be a fun read!
>>117049I like the novel best, because it goes into so much detail about how Satou looks at child porn and orders grey-market drugs from teh interwebz. It truly is the story of my life.
>>117060The anime was really impactful because it was basically me, but the novel for me too is even more so me. (´w` )
>>116947Nice, I was one of the anons recommending it in the Lolita thread the other day. I just finished reading it again and it had even more of an impact on me this time around. I nearly cried at the very end, when she recounts her best memories of Peter. Now I am reading Lamb by Bonnie Nadzam, which was recommended alongside Tiger, Tiger by another anon in that thread. I'm only 56 pages in but I'm already in love with it. I can tell that, like Tiger, Tiger, Lamb is going to be a book I struggle to put down. I only stopped reading just now to eat lunch, and was checking Heyuri while doing so. Now I'm going back to reading it.
>>116941Just started today, 20 pages in. It's pretty interesting. My favorite motif so far is the continuous misspelling of the word "off"
