I played the first one recently and was surprised how well it held up. I don't think any game since then has captured that same atmosphere, plus the gameplay felt entirely original. I have no fucking clue what they're doing with the series now as it doesn't resemble what I like about the first game at all.
Are there any other games that are similar?
