I'm not overly concerned about "story" in games - I'm not one of those fags who's anal-retentive over plotholes or gets annoyed when there's no likeable characters, all I really care about is there being some kind of overarching journey, and it being a fun/interesting adventure along the way

I prefer games where the mechanics are pimple, but the obstacles are challenging - those types of games are typically my favorite, and conversely, my least favorite games are those that overwhelm you with too many abstract mechanics, overly-complicated battle systems, too many menus, vast job systems, too many weapons/armor to choose from, etc (so basically I haet most RPGs LOL)

Music-wise I like the SNES FF OSTs the most, so I'd probably opt for something in line with those

Honestly I prefer pimple over complex as well. Though I'd prefer the characters to be likeable. I mean it'd be pretty difficult to immerse yourself into the world if all you're thinking about is punching the main character in the face for how annoying he is. Personally the whole take over the world thing is old, But it's got a unique charm to it which is probably why it has stuck around for many years as it shows the villain has a lot of ambition. Plus it also offers numerous angles to build from. I myself personally don't like the sympathetic villain. I'd rather have a villain who's entertaining rather than a villain who was made to evoke an emotional response.
