Can self-deletions not be included in the "Deleted posts trash bin"? I don't feel comfortable that I make a mistake, delete my post, but a mod can still see it. It makes me super self conscious when posting, and lately I've been feeling so nervous that I almost threw up yesterday when I made a posting mistake that I knew they would see.
>>
its helpful for when someone deletes their post/thread for no reason and we want to keep it, or goes on a self-deletion spree

Users should have a right to be forgotten, and I know this sounds too "serious", but by refusing them that right, you are asserting that all posts and threads made here become property of Heyuri, and the user has no right to his own threads and posts
>>
If you're at a point where you're throwing up over internet posts, you just need to go to therapy.
>>
>>69745
Should've read the terms of service, loser, heyuri does own your posts. Be warned that if you make any similar posts on a different platform, you'll be liable for copyright lawsuit.

I have a nervous disorder, are you telling me I can't post on this web-site? Do you know how insensitive your being?
>>
>>69748
You can, you just have to be fine with vomiting all your guts out.
It's like if a guy with epilepsy wants to watch a light show.

Theres a deleted posts trash bin? where? i wanna look through the garbage!
>>
Please stop replying to this thread... it's making me nervous. I'm afraid I might make a mistake. With so many people watching me. I feel sick...

It's too late, you already used "your" instead of "you're":
>Do you know how insensitive your being?
That is atrociously incorrect grammar and a Grammar Correction Officer from your local government will arrive at your place of residence soon to discuss the incident further with you. Please thoroughly clean up any vomit that may be present before the officer arrives and DO NOT vomit in his or her presence or additional criminal charges may be added.

Unless you posted personal information, there is no need to worry

Just wanna say I once made a post which I immediately corrected and slightly changed the formatting of in order to word something in a better way and the mods reverted it back to the original post out of spite or something, so they are actively monitoring and going through self deleted posts for some reason OR the person I was replying to was secretly a mod and got butthurt. Either way it is extremely gay passive aggressive behavior to micro manage interactions like this
>>
I don't think you should expect any information you evar put up online to conveniently disappear by pressing a buttan in the first place. 4chan has archives made by crawlers reading new posts 7/24, and many software out there don't even have the feature of self-deletions.

Trash bin feature storing user deleting posts can be very helpful for the reason hachikuji said. I can say it's definitely not something that would ever be used against a well-meaning Heyuri user.

That being said, if there were a setting that lets u immediately delete so it doesn't end up in trash bin, I wouldn't mind enabling it on Heyuri for the peace of users' minds. ie. if a post is deleted within 60 seconds by the original poster, doesn't end up in the bin... But there are many other priorities right now. Unless you're a PHP developer, in which you're more than welcome to contribute to the Kokonotsuba.

It is only visible for 4 staff members, and that is for a limited time.

>>69757
I can see the records for that, and it seems the only time was when I thought it would be funny for some guy who changed one word from his post to "newf@g" to evade wordfilter back in October, he wasn't replying to my own post. If you're the guy and butthurt about it to this day, it proves the filtered version was more accurate. :xd:
If you're not, you should be able to pinpoint the exact post that mods didn't let you "slightly changed the formatting of in order to word something in a better way"

>actively monitoring and going through self deleted posts
All baleeted posts are visible to admins and mods (but not janitors IIRC) on the boards as if they were never deleted, except that they're slightly greyed out and have a "DELETED" label. The exceptions are posts that have been "purged", which we do for CP and old deleted posts. There's a separate area for viewing only deleted posts, but there's not much reason to ever go there

Mods were always able to see when a user had baleeted their own post via the action log, but the ability to view and restore deleted posts is a relatively recent feature. Teh purposes are:

1. to review and revert the decisions of other staff-san. E.g. they baleeted a post for an invalid reason, they misclicked (we've all done it ^^;), or a troll has mistakenly been granted a janitor account and used it to mass-delete posts (which did happen earlier this year...)
2. to restore user-deleted posts that we believe shouldn't have been deleted. E.g. a thread that provided (or had the potential to provide) LOLs and OC

Posts that were deleted due to typos, errors, etc. will virtually never be restored - only in rare cases like the one mentioned above, where a user was allegedly trying to circumvent a wordfilter (I never saw/noticed this so I can't comment on it). These types of baleetions are extremely common, and staff-san frequently do it themselves, so there's no reason to feel self-conscious over it

think about it like this. some anon is doxxing another user in a "fast" moving thread, and OP got doxxed to like 5 ppl and then deletes it 30 mins later, now there is no way to punish said person.
>>
>>69743
well kaguya said it basically, 60sec or bust. learn php today
>>

No, that was the post and it was more than one word changed. Claiming I am butthurt because I remember something is a reach. I remember it not because of the post being reverted, but because of how absolutely dumbfounded I was when I realized that new - fag, the most basic core staple phrase of imageboard shit talking, is filtered.

Really fueling the hugbox rumors...

Also it was october 30th, about 5 weeks ago, hardly over a month. I just looked through my screenshot folder and found the post thanks to you. After I saw it was reverted I just assumed it was because I had pissed off a mod and lold thinking it was some form of spite
But now that you say it was just for the filter, it is just kinda retarded. Also you remembering exactly the post I am eluding to within 1 hour of my post here makes you look like the butthurt one btw.

(USER WAS BUTTHURT IN THIS POST) banhammer

>>
>>69766
Well your ID is "KKaiyK 5M" which looks like code for joining the KKK and killing 5 million niggers, which makes you look like the more butthurt one. Butthurt about niggers.
>>
>Also it was october 30th, about 5 weeks ago, hardly over a month
That is definitely appropriate to call over a month
>>
>>69766
they have strict rules here, sometimes they enforce them too hard. i sympathize with you... alas... well, i support the administration here, but they made a mistake with your case
>>
it's a word filter, no rule was enforced & the ban message is a joke
>>
I haven't been to /o/ in months because of a replying mistake. (・∀・)
