I am not the most knowledgeable one when it comes to specific words/phrases, but
- soulless is fine for sure, check urbandictionary
- "comfy" is debatable if shouldn't be outright b& - I asked this in Strange World a few months ago too... https://ayashii.net/bbs.php?m=tree&s=10290&c=08&ff=202311.dat so I don't think it should be promoted at least
- Most impr0tantly, in any case, u should leave policing users to the staff. If something doesn't feel right, it's better to post on this board instead of posting in the thread to avoid unnecessary thread derailments

There are words which have a formal definition on any dictionary, but have nonetheless been ingrained in the obnoxious side of current lingo. For example:
-Comfy
-Soul/soulless
-Kino
-Slop
-Degenerate
-Based
-Yikes
Certainly many of the aforementioned can be used differently to their modern application (Like soulless), however, i think there should be a clear stance taken as to keep Heyuri's culture distinct to those of other sites that, in my opinion, suck dick.
But that's just my opinion sweat3

Again, I won't comment on individual words but those which was used in 2000s internets or those with proper dictionary definitions aren't b&, even if they are (still) a part of "modern slang". Heyuri is distinct enough from other western sites that we don't care about whatever existing words they abuse. We merely ban new words or non-dictionary meanings of old words they create. This applies more broadly than just words too, like ignoring lame Western fanbases of Japanese games etc.

"Soulless" isn't being used any different to the English dictionary definition, and it has existed for decades if not centuries - it's a freaking English word that's been used in this exact context since long before I was even alive, and u damn n00bs are only picking a bone with it cuz of 4chan's "soul VS soulless" meme template from recent years sweat3

The fact you're more familiar with it being part of a nu-4chan meme than the fact that it's an actual word that has always been used in this way says more about u than whoever ur bitching at for using it!

If anything, complaining about "soulless" being rule 8 is rule 8!!

Hasn't comfy been a shortening of comfortable for as long as fridge has been for refrigerator? What should even be used in place of comfy other than typing the full word? Next you're going to tell me I should stop referring to my semen as cockslop because kids these days changed the meaning of the word slop.

As the guy who said comfy in that thread (sorry if I made a faux-pas), I can see how it's a bit of a zoomer word. I don't think people referred to comfy for things besides things like sofas and blankets until pretty recent imageboard culture. I don't think it should be fully banned but it seems a little bit like a gray area.

"Soulless," however, is just something people have always said. Can't see any justification for that being rule 8 personally.
