why is the site so........fucking...................................................slow lately..............?Marked for deletion (Old)
doesn't feel slow to me... though PPM has dropped by half over the past 6 months, which isn't serious danger since its always bound to fluctuate based on a lot of factors
Today was more active than usual.Besides, there is no point in discussing the reason the site gets slow - it's usually because old users become too lazy to post in a faster rate than we get fresh users who will contribute. You can invite more people from other places of The Internet to help it
>>66660>>66661That's not what I meant, dummy!I meant it's been slow to load, slow to post and I keep randomly getting a timeout page
another thing is sometimes I'm writing a post and suddenly it disappears! If I hit ctrl Z it comes back
>>66666and also i'm satan muahahahar
>>66665>I meant it's been slow to load, slow to post and I keep randomly getting a timeout pagethat's most likely a problem on your end
>>66665your internet is SUX
>>66668>>66669Then how come every other site works fine huh smart guy?
>>66678connections for me have been fine, business as usual. Ur internet must haet heyuri, that's why
>>66679i got a couple time-outs earlieri am sure it's because kaguya is sending my information to the feds
Kaguya.... may have.. ate.. one of the servers.. we apologize- Management
if it's "slow" that's a good sign and just how you want it. if you share the site make sure you share it with the right people and not anyone that uses "core" on a regular basis, knows less than 50 anime etc.
Heyuri was definitely a lot more active back when I posted regularly, a full year ago.Where did all those people go? I guess they lost interest, just like I did. So maybe they'll also return eventually, just like I did.
>>66659tenor.gifisn't tenor the website shitwhore uses for its gifs?
>isn't tenor the website shitwhore uses for its gifs? It's one of the handful of whitelisted sources that Google-kun allows to show up on Google Images
oh my gawd, OP isn't talking about "slow" as in few posts, "slow" as in loading time... anyway, i have also been experiencing this too, its liek every single board, thread, image takes a long time to fully load for some reason. i've also been getting post timeouts (;´Д`)
キタ━━━(゚∀゚)━━━!!
i'm starting to feel it now whenever i post. and i've seen it in real time with other posters here as well.that making a post here lately is like taking a hard shit. hope this constipation gets better soon.
>isn't tenor the website shitwhore uses for its gifs?>It's one of the handful of whitelisted sources that Google-kun allows to show up on Google ImagesShut up, I got it from an rpgcodex thread, I don't use google. How about switching to a linux distribution using only free software and a proprietary-free browser first before accusing me of being mainstream?Anyway, >>66690 summarizes my experience perfectly
>>66719...I was ing at Google images for switching to a lame whitelist-based model several years back, so the top results are often from tenor/giphy/pinterest/etc instead of actual websites - I wasn't accusing u of anything
It's definitely worst while posting. It's driving me back to fucking 4chan.
just a blind guess... maybe the slow-down is the fault of cloudflare? It's very unlikely a problem with koko. And since the effects of teh slowdown aren't experienced by everyone at once it might line up with nodes in the CDN messing up ur posts somehow...
Has anyone experienced slowdown on Off-Topic in the last 7 hours?I disabled the last thing on the server that could have been causing it 7 hours ago, and if it's persisting despite that, I confirm it's not an issue (or at least not a solvable one?) on the server's end
>>66725last tiem i made a post there it didn't throw the error, not sure if it was luck./q/ still throws it (at least teh last time i posted)
>maybe the slow-down is the fault of cloudflare?I'm not convinced. It only seemed to occur on teh main site's Kokonotsuba boards, and not Strange World, the CGI site, etc., which all use the same Cloudflare setup as far as I'm aware
>>66727yeah, I could still interact with /o/ normally while things were getting stuck on /b/ and /q/>>66725everything has been fine so far now
It hasn't been slow for me for the last few days, but when it is slow it seems like switching VPN servers fixes it. Maybe it's slow in some countries and not others?
>>66729more than likely the case.
>>66725It's better, yesthank you mod sama
>>66729Kagy here, we are actually rate-limiting the speeds of countries that are hostile to the interests of my beloved Turkiye. Consider using a azerbaijani/turkiye vpn to enjoy best speeds. The more anti-turkiye your country is, the slower.
