I feel like there should be a short hourly ban thing for if you're being too annoyingIll even be the first test subjectMarked for deletion (Old)
heyuri isnt active enough to justify that we only have like 8 daily posters and 3 of them are mods and 1 is a bot(fly)
We've always done that, but the ones who need it most are usually ban evaders, so it's useless
>>65672Oh well, im just tired of seeing people cross nan-nan's boundaries "for teh lulz"And also i need a deterrent from sitting here for an hour,,
While being an asshole to other users without providing LOLs is often Rule 8 or even Ruke 7, a concept liek "nan-nan's boundaries" is not in Heyuri's rules or guidelinesThere are only Heyuri's boundaries, which (if ur talking about what I think ur talking about) places virtually no limits on teh sexualization of Heyuri users & staff-san for LOLs and/or fapping purposes
>>65674Welp, cant say i didnt try (´Д`。Thanks for always being helpful with info, mod-sama
One more day of /b/ being flooded with angel blogpost threads and I'll go mad
Hopefully she will post everyday from now on
>>65678If you want to lose good users, sure
>>65679Lose them to their hateboners
>>65672Force anonymity. That way everything is dealt with or does the websites software not allow it?
>>65682I don't think we're talking about the same thing
>>65672Buy me a hot dog. That way I will not be hungry or are you also poor?
>>65683It's been almost a week of angel having a couple of the most active threads on page 0, almost exclusively centered around himself, and also posting in other threads and derailing them. Does that violate the "no board dominationz by a single user" rule yet?(NO LOL, TAKE A HINT)
okay the last one was kinda annoying
>>65682Not related but I agree with this. Too many namefags.(LURK MOAR)
>>65688Yep. A few namefags every now and then are fine but a lot of threads now have at least 2 namefags participating in each thread (LURK MOAR)
>>65688I got to agree. Many threads feel liek namefags chatrooms.(LURK MOAR)
>>65691>>65690>>65688
whats the point of anonymous if 1 in ever 5 users is a namefag? ┐(゚~゚)┌
>whats the point of anonymousU have a slightly lower chance of being recognized as the same user in other threads - that's teh only benefit
>>65698im anonymous that isn't effected by other people namefagging
>>65698there is no point, it's just there for us to use it if we want to. the whole "we are Anonymous we are legion" thing doesn't really exist on Heyuri.but I will say that if people are gonna namefag constantly, they better try hard to actually say something worth reading, or else I'm gonna disregard their posts as trash and stop reading em (´~`)
Anonymity is so much more. Its hard to explain the appeal. Never mind.
there are more original ways to stand out other than trip fagging
>>65710its pretty reliable though
I think the standards for tripfag like >>65708 said>they better try hard to actually say something worth readingif your gonna trip or namefag then absolutely lurk more than if you where to post anonymously
I don't mind namefagging or tripfagging. There is a reason they exist, they can be useful features. But I think nan-nan and the others making the "look at me I'm acting like a 13 year old girl" blogposts every day are annoying, not just for the posts themselves, but for the sheer volume of them.
>>65710the whole point of anonymity is not standing out. >>65715This. “look at me” stuff is the problem because an anonymous site should be about the posts not the identity of the poster. In one day I saw them post two threads which were almost identical.
Rather, if ur gonna post anonymously, try not to be a killjoy or assume everyone must follow the customs of other websites
>>65715>"look at me I'm acting like a 13 year old girl" blogposts every day are annoying, not just for the posts themselves, but for the sheer volume of them.Don't bump their threads and move on.
>>65718teh people consistantly complaining about tripfriends seem a bit more annoying than the tripfriends themselves.
>>65720just ban the whiners they dont belong here go somewhere else if u dont like it or make your own site
>>65708That was always a n00b like me thing. Whether the name says anonymous or "imanamefagnub69" doesn't matter. The anonymity referenced was always social anonymity. If I change my name on here it doesn't matter. You still don't know who I am. It's not a registration system. They've always existed too. From the earliest sites to even early 4chan. Generally being anonymous is preferred, but the name field exists for a reason. I don't even see many people get mad at name or tripfags on 4chan these days much. It's just not that important in the grand scheme of things. I skip the name field anyway out of habit so not like I ever really notice which namefags are which because I just tune it out.
>>65722https://youtu.be/g3OTgTyujtE?si=j6CJaNKeXoIDXaR5Related video from moot mentioning it. They've always been a thing.
Even in pre-2channel BBS communities like Ayashii World, Amezou, and early imageboards, it was not uncommon for users to fill the name field, and that's still true for the remaining non-2ch/Futaba Japanese BBS users today. And that's not to mention that the software being adopted by these communities wasn't designed for those communities to begin with - rather, they were modifying generic, open-source scripts that were intended for anyone with a homepage to use (which was most web users back then)Being "anonymous" (as in everyone using something akin to "Nameless" or "Anonymous" as their name) was never a consideration when it came to the foundational Japanese BBS and imageboard software of the 90s and early 2000s - this is why they invariably have a name and email field in the post form. Many of these scripts don't even allow users to post without filling the name field by default - including LetsPHP's GazouBBS imageboard script, which Futaba is based on
so is kokonotsuba technically
>On Heyuri, casual tripcode usage is widely accepted by all but the n00best of n00bsNO U I doubt I'll get to liek the mass namefagging, no matter what you guys say. Why do I have to know all these random people? What's the point of identifying your posts for mundane stuff like "I'm going to sleep"? this is some twitter/facebook shit ( ´,_ゝ`)On a related note, how does that custom "COOLtRIPDU" tripcode work? I tried adding a third # but it doesn't werk.
>>65726Most software is, including modern day 4chan's yotsuba
>>65727>On a related note, how does that custom "COOLtRIPDU" tripcode work? I tried adding a third # but it doesn't werk.I don't know
>I doubt I'll get to liek the mass namefagging, no matter what you guys say. Why do I have to know all these random people?Cuz u waltzed into a website where name & tripcode usage are historically commonplace and not a problem Teh indifference/support towards name & tripcode usage is a core part of Heyuri's identity. To lose that would not only be a failing on the part of Heyuri staff-san - who sw0re to uphold Heyuri's impr0tant culture and teach it to all n00bs - but would also make this place much less unique, carefree, and lighthearted ヽ(´ー`)ノAs lolico (Heyuri's founder) once said:>We will stick to our rules and enforce them properly. New users *will* learn the culture>What's the point of identifying your posts for mundane stuff like "I'm going to sleep"?So u can say oyasumi 2 them
>>65727This is true. 80% of heyuri posts are just status updates about random faggots no one cares about. Is this what we have become? Facebook? And not to wave my dick around BUT I HAVE BENE HERE LONGER THAN ANONWAHA AND KAGUYA AND NO IM NOT TELLING YOU WHO I AM
>>65730>>65718>everyone must follow the customs of other websites>name & tripcode usage are historically commonplace and not a problemIt's not a custom of any other website to say that someone is annoying. I've been on Heyuri since circa July 2021 and I've seen plenty of tripfags, I've never found them to be annoying. This sudden flood of new tripcode users simply strike me as a bunch of underage, ironic weebs who think blogposting on an slow imageboard is such a quirky addition to their online persona. This is the type of thing you usually see on /r9k/ actually. >but would also make this place much less unique, carefree, and lighthearted I would be fine with this statement except that I've often seen mods delete posts that aren't rule 7 or 8 violations but just because you don't seem to like them. They're not even necessarily horrible posts, many of them are unique, and had no users complaining about them. You guys delete whatever you want and if users complain about it you'd say the same thing "it's the culture of our website blah blah blah go somewhere else." That's not very carefree and lighthearted. If you're going to let the tripfags dominate the board by making two or more new threads a day, fine. But don't delete other threads for no reason.
>>65732I stand in solidarity with this man. Mod favoritism for quirky twitter personas needs to stop
>>65724Why do you keep referring back to Japanese sites like they're the bible or something? Futaba isn't some land of milk and honey. Everyone here complaining about anonymity are wrong. There is no real anonymity on Heyuri since Kaguya blocked Tor and "anonymous" sites aren't inherently better than traditional forums or social media so I don't know why some people here are obsessed with it.>>65727>What's the point of identifying your posts for mundane stuff like "I'm going to sleep"? this is some twitter/facebook shit The internet has always been full of mundane shit. It doesn't make a difference if you sign your posts or not. There have been some shitty threads recently and tripfags are responsible. I'll give you that.
>>65732At this point i just hope that the annoying ones will eventually get bored and leave. Agreed
I hoep they stay so u leave
>>65736( ´,_ゝ`) Your not funny
>>65737Neither are u kuz, bring back tomoposter
>>65738shut up freak yu dont know who i am
>>65735Im staying out of spite now
>>65740just don't let spite overtake your whole personality, cosmo! (;´Д`)
Well if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Hope you guys like my posts!
>>65742You know what... your right. I guess the mod is right, this board needs way more blogposts ヽ(´∇`)ノ
I think I will just... come back in a month or something...
oh jesus christ can none of you relax
There isn't anything wrong with "blogposts", but I think I want to send the bloggiest ones out of them to Strange World over time. I want to make a long later on when I have the time but seems it's urgent now >I've often seen mods delete posts that aren't rule 7 or 8 violations but just because you don't seem to like them. They're not even necessarily horrible posts, many of them are unique, and had no users complaining about them. It's true that we can delete posts that don't necessarily break the rules if we feel like they're out of place. It's always been like this on Heyuri. If you want to complain about this, you should point out specific posts/threads>Why do you keep referring back to Japanese sites like they're the bible or something? It's simply teh way of Heyuri!>>65742By the way, I deleted that black konata edit you posted before I checked this thread again to see this post. Such edits are against Rule 8
>>65727Okay?...
>>65746Wait, is being against rule 8 really why it got deleted?? I thought it was because of the "no nu-4chan type posts" thing
>>65748...please actually read rule 8.
>>65749... I somehoe thought they were different rules, at least i remembered them.. (´Д`。
It wasn't nu-4chan, it's apparently nu-twitter at that point. But let's not talk about it
I've been gone for two days and page 0 is still full of angel's spam
Lol @ mod-sama for deleting my post parodying other users. The tripfags would have left in a week or two anyway after getting bored. I could have lived with them. But I can't live with this mod team. So you got your monkey's paw wish, mod-sama. I've been here for years, contributed OC, and now I'm leaving forever. Enjoy having the tripfags around while they last I guess. >>65748It didn't violate rule 8. Not that it matters, we've already established that the mods delete whatever they want, and require no justification for doing so. There are no rules. He probably was also angry that he lost an argument.
>>65754"Posting on heyuri is a privilege and can be taken away at any time" -the rules page
someone should create another BBS site like martin luther did with the catholic church
>>65754I dunno WTF ur talking about serious-kun - I have been AFK most of this evening besides the few posts I made earlier, and I haven't baleeted anything since pretty much yesterday. I nevar even saw the "black konata edit" kaguya referred to in >>65746 Off-Topic baleetions in teh past 24(ish) hours:admin (kaguya): 86587, 86588, 86659, 86650moderator (me): 86530janitors (various): 86501, 86518users baleeting their own posts: 86565, 86614, 86615, 86616, 86617, 86620If it was on here then I can't view it cuz Site Discussion's action log feature is b0rked
Add 86705 to janitors, which just happened now
Looking up ur IP specifically (which is a pain in teh butt cuz teh mod tools currently suck balls), out of those baleeted posts it seems that u posted No.86659... which was baleeted by kaguya himself
>>65757>>65758>>65759u are stinky, ugly, fat, annoying, weird, creepy, stupid, dumb, and gay
It's hard to believe the gifted genius, Sultan KAGUYA could have hired such miscreants do to his duties! I am constructing an envoy to be sent to his palace as soon as possible. These corrupt eunuchs can no longer impede the court from making proper decisions.
>>65760I'M NOT FAT
lol, it is insane how much internet drama tripfagging generate on heycurry. This is supposed to be a place clean from it. A place with lolz and loliz. Things like this just create unnecessary annoyance and make our board less fun. While I am a tripfag myself - i take my battle when i use it. So I am not against it at all, but searching for solutions... we should just ban everyone on all sides!
>>65754>and now I'm leaving forever.And stay out.
there's no need for nasty feelings. can't the tripfags and non-tripfags just talk and make some kind of agreement? the tripfags aren't being malicious, most of them are just new and excited
>>65766This!I'm fairly new to imageboard culture, and I've only been posting for like 2-4 months
>>65754>It didn't violate rule 8It's not for you to decide that. Maybe it's the trend somewhere because it's the second time I deleted such a picture of Konata in the last week As I mentioned in >>65746, a possible solution is asking tripfags to make posts like goodnight/morning (not all users are in teh same timezone anyways) or "I'm depressed 2nite ;_;" on Strange World@Heyuri.net (looking at u bobrikov-san)It's understandable if they're new to imageboards and don't know the culture, but I also understand some complaints about the situation because we never had tripfags being so bloggy on Heyuri, not even yukichan Refer to pic rel. for how tripfags acted in 2020. We should aim for that!
>>65768good idea.
>>65767Can't you guys dial down on making new threads? They dominate page 0 and slide every other thread. One thread a day should suffice and even that can be too much sometimes.
>>65768That's a great idea, and very appropriate for strange world which could use moar activity ヽ(´ー`)ノFor the record, I don't hate namefags' guts.I agreed with the "force anonymity" idea, not because I want to chase n00bs off the site, but because I believe that would encourage them to make better, original posts. Once you're anonymous, you've got to post about something besides yourself!ImSP3ci4l, after all.I hope newbs don't feel intimidated by the discussion (and mods understand people who disagree with them aren't all partypoopers)
These people are outright malicious. Look at pic rel and see how smug they are about being able to get away with anything because mods don't touch them. How they'll keep spamming to spite us. Calling us ants and annoying flies to be swatted. Very "nice" and "positive" people
>Calling us ants and annoying flies to be swattedBut I enjoy it
>>65773That's a bad sign, anon. U shouldn't enjoy trashtalk from 3DPD, only 2d girls. You should see teh doctor!
78 replies yk what i should really just delete this thread
"Wrong password" well guess this is payback for my hubris (;´Д`)
I think you idiots need to frickin' shut up.
>>65780
autosaged
Looks like the proposal is going into effect now. Should I delete 'good morning/hello heyuri' type threads, or let Mod-sama and kaguya autosage them?
I deleted file just because I don't think anime girls with political opinion flags r good, but "good mornings heyuri" kind of posts should also be taken to the Chat@Heyuri. Of course, starting a thread about another topic with "good morning" or "hi heyuri" are exempt to thisIn addition, plz stop randomly saying "hi" to users in threads (should also be taken to Chat@Heyuri), threads aren't meant to be small chatrooms and it can quickly derail them
I forgot to say since it wasn't teh topic, but blogs/personal "status updates" are also more fitting on Strange World than Off-Topic, we should start redirecting that tooObviously this only includes personal matters, stuff like "I just finished X game" are good on Off-TopicAs I see observed, that's how Japanese people use their Ayashii World instances nowadays tooI hope this can solve most problems mentioned in this thread
>>65787>>65788Thank you, merry christmas
>>65782I don't know where you got that frickin' picture but I need you to delete that ASAPOR I'M GONNA PUT YOU IN A WORLD OF PAIN, JACKASS
