I am afraid people don't check the front page for announcements/easily forget them, so I think it's appropriate to make this reminder when there's a little over a month until teh event
There's enough information there (@ https://www.heyuri.net/#news74 ), it's going to happen on 2025/11/02 (Sun) but I'll paste mod-san's explanation from >>69310 on what is a bunkasai

Bunkasai means "cultural festival" - you often see it in teh animez set in school. All the classes work on producing some kind of fun/creative feature (e.g. food stands, themed cafes, haunted houses, sports/games, drama/music performances, etc.), and then the school is opened up to the public to see it all

On Heyuri, we designate a specific day (though things like this are fully welcome any day of the year) for us to all create fun/creative things for each other to see and experience

There's no limits or expectations - just whatever you (or your group) can come up with

...

You may also use this thread for cooperation, exchanging ideas or general suggestions :nyaoo-closedeyes:

Maybe i could just make a thread about my app and show some pictures... 😖
maybe it might not be interesting 😢
>>
Don't overthink it. Bunkasai doesn't have to be "HEYURI, I PRESENT TO YOU MY MAGNUM OPUS AFTER 4 MONTHS OF BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS" - it can just be "Manko club: draw a VAGINA LOL"

I drew a 1px manko for the romhack I'm working on

I wanted to contribute but without a format or examples of what is accepted, I think I'll wait until the next time the site hosts this event.
>>
There are lists of the various events at previous Bunkasai's:
https://museum.heyuri.net/bunkasai/2023.html
https://museum.heyuri.net/bunkasai/2024.html

The only real guideline is "present something that is cool or that users can interact with"

Oh I missed this lost. I'm just going to upload it to heyuri:
https://up.heyuri.net/gemu.php
I'll upload builds for win, Linux, and Mac, as well as the sauce

I have a bit of a dilemma. If I upload all of these, I will end up taking almost 1 GB of space on up.heyuri.net. Is that OK? Maybe after a week or so I could delete everything except for the source.
>>
Nevermind! It's small enough to fit on catbox. Problem solved!
>>
Should the event in future be 3-7 days instead of one, like a festival or convention?

As someone who is still working on their unfinished contribution... yes
>>
>>69559
i really wish it was at least 3 days. (´人`)
>>
What do you guys think of teh bunkasai? was it a success? I think so.
>>
I'm not sure, I don't think the festive momentum can be sustained for such a long time. It's more realistic to have a single day where everyone tries to be super active
Although there is nothing stopping people from using the bunkasai threads until the age limit is reached
>>69561
It was announced 2 months+ in prior, having it last a few more days doesn't help much for hueg undertakings... We can announce it even earlier in 2026 (which we would probably start making a bit sooner)
>>
>>69563
it felt smaller than last years... I think it was fun getting new CGI games last year and made the bunkasai feel a bit more of a thing I was doing with others
>>
I tried to contribute as much as i could, but i had a very stressful month and had no time to work on something bigger. ( ´_ゝ`)
>>
I need to come up with a way to host Godot games as if they were Flash games next year. 1 file or highly portable, upload anywhere, play on browser.
>>
>>69563
I can't compare it to previous years, but I thought it was good fun. I think more interactive activities where you play along with other Heyurians would help, I think I'll try and make something like that next time.
>>
>>69567
WebGL?
>>
>>69567
I know that godot has can export out to webGL, but i don't know how user friendly it is. Read here.
https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/export/exporting_for_web.html
>>
>>69570
Yes, I know, but it still generates a bunch of files and has some particular hosting requirements.
I have devised a way to use parcel to generate a single HTML file from a typescript project. The only downside is that I will have to develop using HTML+Canvas+TypeScript.
To that end, I will be developing a custom game engine loosely inspired by how Flash handles MovieClips, but with attachable behaviors so I can mimics the way Godot nests nodes. Thus my dream of easily-shareable, trivially hostable games will be made a reality and Heyuri will receive many shitty games from me.
