As i think we've moved past the period of staff applying. I think we should open a new discussion thread among ourself to both discuss and learn for us that are new. But also to get feedback from the community.

it's especially annoying since his site is clearly NOT better than ours, by the way! angry

do we remove "kuz has aids" post? As it for sure a spam thing from... shit-party.

That particular post seemed to be, so I deleted.
>>

I vote yes since it was already posted a couple of times back when the "news" first broke, and it serves no purpose at this point besides stirring drama and having "that" crowd come here to post references to their website... but I'll leave it up to kaguya
>>
>>64428
I have nothing to do with that website, I was just shocked when I read it for the first time.
>>
>>64473
If ur the guy who made >>64471 , the posts you're replying to ITT are from around 10 hours ago and were referring to a different thread about the exact same topic on /b/ earlier today (yesterday? lol timezones) sweat2

Since these threads are suddenly appearing within a relatively short timeframe about a topic that already came and went on Heyuri back when the news first broke (weeks ago? months ago? time is blurry...), it appears as if there's sum outside shenanigans going on

That's why ur thread (and others before yours) were baleeted nyaoo

Ah, I just looked at my web history - it was first discussed here around May 18th-19th

Old news is old!
>>

>>64475
I just learned about it for the first time because of this: kolyma.net

Im assuming others did too. This is big news considering kuz pays for heyuris hosting, kuz is known outside of the soyjak site you know. He used to be the admin here

K, but it's already been brought up and discussed here several times over the past 2 months, and was even referenced during the recent Townhall just 4-5 days ago

The only way someone on Heyuri wouldn't know about it by now is if they didn't use this website, minus coming here today to bring us the Breaking Slowpoke News that kuz has AIDS closed-eyes

'cunny' is a real word but it's very vulgar and isn't used much at all.

I'm a native English speaker and I've never once heard someone refer to the VAGINA as 'cunny' outside of the internet in obvious reference to the meme.
I only use the term myself to refer to European rabbits and that's the only use I've heard bar the usage of it as a term for a woman in the same you'd call a woman a bunny that I read in an old book once.

I'd consider it rule 8 because it's a 99.9% chance the person using it is using it because of those memes rather than it actually being something they'd say normally.
>>
your own image says that it's a rumor and is only backed by circumstantial evidence and speculation, so please don't present it as fact closed-eyes2
kuz ain't part of the stuff anymore either, but idk whether he still hangs around here or not. maybe kaguya and mod-sama will weigh in
>>
the post I replied to disappeared... probably for the best
>>
For the reasons explained on >>64429 onwards, you don't need to hesitate before deleting any mentions of kuz if you think it doesn't belong to Heyuri from now on

understood
>>
>kuz ain't part of the stuff anymore either, but idk whether he still hangs around here or not.
He occasionally visits, and he still pays for, maintains, and helps out with certain aspects of Heyuri's infrastructure

>you don't need to hesitate before deleting any mentions of kuz if you think it doesn't belong to Heyuri from now on
I've been meaning to bring this up for teh ages, but does our wiki article on kuz really need all of that non-Heyuri crap in it?

I think it should be focused on his time here, and not stuff that's completely irrelevant, was never at any point mentioned or posted on Heyuri, Rule 8 websites, and general Serious Business. It was almost entirely written by "Darksjkfanatic" (dark s*yjak fanatic) and Angeleno, and reads like something from a completely different and much crappier website sweat3

>I'm a native English speaker and I've never once heard someone refer to the VAGINA as 'cunny' outside of the internet in obvious reference to the meme.
It's originally from British English, and it's more of a childish term than vulgar. I've heard it used casually on family-friendly TV before sweat2

That said, I never saw it online until the last few years with 4chan adopting it
>>
>>64534
>but does our wiki article on kuz really need all of that non-Heyuri crap in it?
I guess not, Heyurify it if you want to xd
Angeleno can migrate whatever he wants to save to his soyjak wiki from our's old revisions if he wants to.

We should continue on https://wiki.heyuri.net/index.php?title=Talk:Kuz if there is anything more to discuss
>>
>>64535
I've never heard a child say it, it is a dimunitive but 'cunt' becoming offensive meant that kids also stopped using it as they wouldn't have learnt about 'cunt'.
Admittedly it's only really offensive if you know what 'cunt' is so I guess it being used on TV as an attempt at a child friendly alternative to foo-foo (what I called it as a kid) is believable.
>That said, I never saw it online until the last few years with 4chan adopting it
Yep, never seen it online except to the cute and funny/lolicon meme which really confused me the first time I saw it around.

Don't doubt the term got used in some eromanga translation because the translator used a thesaurus to translate some silly form of manko but the usage ends up being rule 8.

some kind of anti-kuz bot is spamming the boards. can staff-sama help handle it plz?

kuz is spy, is kuz to be trusted? by what moral standard does kuz operate or live by?
>>
would it be a good idea to make the Rules page accessible from all boards (or at least, the kokonotsuba boards) rather than from just the Homepage? that way it's easier to reference for existing users, and newbies are more likely to see it and learn about teh rules in the first place

Because it's already pinned underneath the comment field unsure

Oh... (;゚∀゚) I didn't get what the point of those posts were (even though they said so in the posts themselves). I was using catalog so it didn't occur to me that would have been for the purpose of cleaning up the wall of text on the first page.

Soz for that, Magnet OP

There's (hopefully) going to be a new bbcode tag for things like that, with limited height and a scrollbar.
Waiting for Kaguya's input on that right now.
>>
>There's (hopefully) going to be a new bbcode tag for things like that, with limited height and a scrollbar.
I imagine most longposters wouldn't use it, either intentionally or cuz they haven't lurked the BBCode Reference page sweat2

I think it'd be better to just auto-scrollify every post longer than X characters/lines on teh index, and have them show in full in reply mode

I will now start handing out the passwords for CGI stuffz to you. It's a link that will expire in 7 days from this post's date, let me know if you don't see it in time.

goddammit, why did my thread get deleted again?

>goddammit, why did my thread get deleted again?
Make a thread here about it and post details about what it consisted of

Sidenote: this thread is another totally redundant "site discussion general on the site discussion board" that should probably be locked b4 it b0rks teh software...

Accidents happen, don't worry about it
Change the way you delete threads from now on. Instead of the live frontend, get used to using "Manage posts" panel and delete the latest post from the top instead

what's happening w/ the rule 7 guy? i haven't been too active lately cuz' life stuff ( sorry :( ) but there hasn't really been a mod response yet, and it'd be nice to know
>>
>>65243
There seems to be a rogue mod who bans user who didn't b0rk any rules, just because he didn't like their threads. He doesn't even give a reason in the "reason" filed in the ban message. Kagu~nya should do something about it
>>
>>65244
there are only 2 people who can ban, so if someone's getting banned, it's an executive decision. all us janitors can only delete and mute (for a short while)

There are no bans filed without any reason stated. (??? on the list was done by me against someone who was apparently flaming in threads in some indian language...).

Besides, Heyuri isn't about following rules exactly as how they are written. If your thread got deleted, there is probably a good reason behind it. You can ask on this board about it to learn and fix your posting behavior. Or at least, you can use common sense to not repeatedly make the same kind of posts sweat2

Tens of users post every day without their posts being deleted. Out of everyone, if three or so users always end up getting banned, maybe teh fault isn't in staff...

PS: This thread will be locked soon

Honestly, I have no idea. There is no ban on the list with that times. Can you just wait it out and act as if that has never happened please?
>>
NVM, I didn't realize today was the 19th - I thought you just took it. I thought there was another bug sweat2
We can't see past bans (so this needs confirmation), but it was probably a range TOR block, which should have been specified even if it was apparent.

kagy is so cute when he gets confused...
>>
>>65251
Not going to mention individual cases but this happened a lot while developing kokonotsuba (・∀・)
Reporting in too. I haven't tripped in a while but i'm still here watching every single post you make
>>
As a vpn user, there have been many cases which my ip has been blocked / added to spamlist. I also received ban-warning i know for certain wasn't towards me. This is teh issue with sharing teh same IP-addresses - if you use teh same service, which has been teh case.

With these reason in mind, I often do not jump around with my IP adresses to much and stay with in same region. nyaoo-closedeyes
