i think were at a healthy level of boards now, adding more for something niche like mpl risks bloating

I believe everyone is entitled to be a fan of whatever media they enjoy, so I'm not looking warm to importing anti-MLP hatred non-Heyuri Western communities seem to have

However, before anything else, it's a Western cartoon and I don't think such a media should have anything more than some discussions or ero threads on the off-topic board and that is, to the degree of not dominating the board

>>69730
we should have an electric toothbrush board instead

also quick reply keeps eating images

Personally I'd like one, but honestly I doubt there would be enough users to make it worthwhile. Unless maybe it was implemented as a joint topic board (like the 2017 4Chan April Fools boards), but I can't see that being added by admin. I guess the way to test if there is demand is to see if Heyuri's resident horsefuckers can keep an mlp thread active in the first place

I think you misunderstand teh situation, possibly due to not having been present when the whole "brony" phenomenon kicked off and grew

Firstly, bronies turned into the second-coming of furries, and nobody likes furries. Secondly, there was a point in time between when a portion of /co/ first fell in love with MLP:FiM, to when the /mlp/ containment board had to be made. Bronies had been spamming ponies & hijacking threads on every board, and generally being a nuisance and trying to piss everyone off - to the point where the topic had to be B& site-wide on 4chan (and AFAIK the ban is still in effect outside of /mlp/). That's where the "anti-brony" sentiment from imageboard users came from - not simply "we haet fun", but more "those users are constantly obnoxious and disruptive"

It was also an early-2010s 4chan phenomenon, and one that ballooned into something much bigger - becoming more associated with places like tumblr, deviantart, youtube, etc. than 4chan. For me personally, it falls into the same kind of "nu-web subculture" category as Homestuck, FNaF, Undertale, etc. - and therefore doesn't really "fit" with Heyuri. I understand some users probably view it differently - especially if they came into it later or not via 4chan - but those are my feelings on it

If we're gonna house the topic on Heyuri at all (and I'm just talking Off-Topic - a dedicated board is out of teh question as far as I'm concerned), it should include allowing users to post things like "GTFO BRONIES!!!1" and photoshops of Waha beheading ponies... like the one I may or may not have made in 2021 when we previously had a brony show up
>>
Yes, but only for G3 and earlier.
>>
I still remember brony cringe videos that were popular in my teenage years. There was a hilarious video where some guy did a presentation to his class on bronies and revealed he was one

I don't think they deserve the hate. Furries are annoying in their own right, bronies aren't as bad as them, at least not nowadays.

no, mlp is full of fail and this site is full of win
>>
No seriously, I think having an G1-G3 only MLP board would be very unique for an imageboard and also fit very much with the theme of this site.
>>

I wouldn’t be against that, but I’m not sure how many people would be interested. Most of the G1-G3 fans I’ve seen have been women who wouldn’t like the loli parts of the site (´^`) (I know there are women who like or don’t mind loli, but they aren’t the ones into old mlp)

>G1-G3 only MLP
Girl Talk is pretty much the perfect place for discussing old girly toys

>cringe videos
MOOOOOOOOOOODS!!!!!!!!!
>>
>MOOOOOOOOOOODS!!!!!!!!!
It's not that simple... a phrase like "brony cringe videos" could be interpreted as "videos that will make you cringe", rather than "these videos contain cringe". The former is a sense that was commonly used during the era of "cringe threads" and "cringe compilations" (roughly mid-2010s, basically the sequel to fail threads and fail compilations that used to be popular), before the noun/one-word retort usage took off

For now, I've opted to take the lazy route and leave it alone ヽ(´ー`)ノ

If we get an /mlp/ board before a /g/ this website is so fucked
