I am so sick of trying to buy clothes my size and they always end up too big, i’m sure this is a new thing with companies? I bought an XS tshirt, and its HUGE ON ME, its like a medium?? this happens with almost EVERY SHIRT I BUY and its the most annoying shit ever. Why did companies make clothing bigger for fatties? diversity? WELL NOW I CANT FIT ANYTHING EITHER!
>>
I think clothing stores just suck at size labeling - I wouldn't be surprised if they just guess per item without measuring anything
>>
clothes have been "optimized" to fit a lowest common denominator of person. its best to learn to tailor your clothes, it really isnt so hard and will improve outfits by leagues
>>
theres an overton window for sizes... as the populations get fatter on average, the small sizes get fatter too. ( ´_ゝ`)

If nobody is truly skinny anymore, a true small becomes something nobody buys, thus the company loses money - which causes the small to float within the "window" dictated by the average.

I think that the measurements for sizes should stay the same, this is bullshit! An XS from 2010 or before would fit me just fine ヽ(`Д´)ノ

i think its more so that cuts have changed greatly. fabric quality generally and the construction quality of most clothing has also decreased a huge amount even since 2010
