i've been severely addicted to the internet for many years, and it's at its worst once again. it is my only form of emotional regulation that i feel comfortable with, and i become extremely anxious and jittery when i don't have access to it. social situations outside of the internet don't feel real sometimes, i feel like i'm not fully there. i wake up every day feeling sick. i've become very sick. i don't know if i can ever change my ways.

modern internet is designed to be like drugs, keep you engaged for as long as possible ( ´,_ゝ`) of course it'll get worse and worse

you can change your ways though, you just need to be patient, an take it easy. ( ´ω`)
perhaps try install a time tracker on ur browser, if its youtube or something you spend lots of time on, disable reccomendations and just watch ur subscriptions, or maybe clear cookies on browser close, so you have to sign in every time you want to access those places. add more friction n stuff, and with enough time, you hopefully be less dependant on it (´π`)

real life social interaction is so fake, online people at least say what they mean the good and bad. :emo:
