Yea, I have had these experiences on childhood and watched content that gave logic to it, then learned its actually a thing, read perennialists and hermeticists! It's the most accessible sources for beggining with it.

I'm a practitioner myself, have had some interesting experiences including possessions, summonings, etc. Although things have quieted recently as I've settled down.

It is very much real, and the more you look into it, the more it will look into you. It's subtle, but is noticeable with the right sight. Best way I can describe what 'magic' is to the uninitiated is as a form of probability manipulation. Think of the world as one very large and complicated equation. The idea is that it only takes slight changes in a few numbers here and there to effect things on a much larger scale. These entities in other planes are not bound to all the same physical limitations as us (time, space, etc), and are able to alter reality in ways not fully understood.

i don't really believe in a lotta magical stuff, but sometimes i pray to random dead people/do weird rituals in hopes that i'll get what i want

I had a period where life hit me kinda bad and I turned to amphetamine and the boundary between worlds got kinda weird but then I was alright. I think it's real but I don't think all of it really works, although my tech at the beauty place I go to insists that the paranormal is real and can be engaged with via sufficiently advanced technology.
