I was never really into Frozen, but I remember this ship from time to time. Its like... it makes so much senss that even as an outsider I gotta appreciate it lol

"Impossible" ships with characters who aren't even in the same source material are always really fun

i never understood this ship because elsa obviously belongs with anna? it's anna's act of true love that saves her in the end... the moral of the story is that boys are evil and you should kiss your sister instead

The point of the ship I think is that Elsa has trauma about not wanting to hurt people, but Jack has ice powers just like her and is already dead, so she can't hurt him, so she feels safe enough to open up! ヽ(´q`)ノ

when i was a kid it was little mermaid... ( ´ω`) i guess the nostalgic disney princess now is elsa.

Eh? Idk about the others, but I'm not nostalgic for Elsa or Frozen specifically, just its nice remembering a breif niche shipping fandom from a few years back.

personally i don't think this is a very interesting dynamic. it makes sense as a fantasy wish-fulfilment thing, but from a storytelling perspective, elsa's trauma is about not wanting to hurt people, and the solution to that is just... to be with someone she's incapable of hurting? i think a more interesting character arc would be if she came to accept the possibility of hurting people, and decided to love anyway. kind of like evangelion

If you have someone you can't hurt, you have a safe area to make mistakes. When you're walking on eggshells just existing, it's hard to grow as a person, its more like you mold yourself around a cage you can't quite see.

Having someone you can make mistakes around can make you more able to cope with making mistakes around more fragile people.
