Hi guys. Do you know really very very very (and 54 more "very") light YTmusic client? Because my PC really sucks.

I try Limusic and not bad. But still little bit lagging. UI doesnt matter.

yt-dlp is great when it works but youtube is always breaking up with its updates :glare1:

I would also like to know if there's any good alternatives

Your fortune: Average luck

Well when it IS working, literally all you have to do is type "yt-dlp [link]" into terminal.

I know, but still I like GUI Thank you

I heard VLC or mplayer (and its many GUI front-ends) can call youtube-dl under the hood.

the only alternative I know is NewPipeExtractor which powers NewPipe (actually I use PipePipe which I've just learned is a hard fork)
but it's for Android, and it lags behind yt-dlp, so I think yt-dlp is as good as you can get

thanks...

There are no light live music streaming clients because of DRM stupidity, any client is just downloading the file and then playing it. And anything that does this is just a fork of yt-dlp. So your best option is to just download all a playlist with yt-dlp and use one of the many mp3 music player GUI apps and make playlists and stuff within them.

So how does Limusic really work? I was curious
>>
While not really on topic-- i set up Navidrome on my server and stream to my phone using Amperfy. It's pretty awesome to have a music-streamer where ever you go that i don't need to pay for + its just a bunch of anisongs!

Homelabers last level :dizzy:
But this idea is not bad. Especially YTmusic constantly saying "this song is not available" to some songs...
