That's a convenient lie you're telling yourself, and you know it. Most people your age didn't end up like you, and the majority of people who did end up like you managed to do so without COVID (and have done for a long time)

I could easily blame my situation on the mass adoption of social media/smartphones, the recession, etc. (and many have done), but ultimately it boiled down to me being a (then undiagnosed) autistic who - whether it was down to a lack of support/understanding or personal failures - fell into severe depression, anxiety, and agoraphobia, and became a shut-in NEET for most of the next 15 years

You'll probably be the same if you can't get it together, and the COVID excuse will look more and more stupid as that period of your life becomes a smaller and smaller part of your history

covid took around a year and a half of my high school years and like during one of those years i went to high school only once every two weeks (kinda) which gave me a lot of time at home to masturbate, so i'm very gratefull for covid

at the start of covid at some point the russian teacher did a zoom class and it was kind of new so it was like she decided to do her class about memes that have emerged in Russia relating to covid and I was like "this is not something i can respect" so i put porn on my phone and masturbated during the class (still listening in case she was about to say something important)

the lockdown was definitely what caused my interests and hobbies to diverge so much from everyone else around me (primarily linguistics) and so when we got back to normal, I had nothing to talk about with others.

This is fucking true, it happened with me and with everyone else. Not everyone turned out a friendless recluse, but it definitely made everyone a little fucked in the head. Everyone who was already an adult back then can't understand the impact COVID had on our lives.

I was also in high school at the time, but covid didn't change a single thing for me, I already didn't talk to anyone.

The effects that COVID caused so many of you hit me 2 years before 2020, I lost everything during 2018 and spent the next 7 years consumed by the internet, COVID happening was actually beneficial since i got paid to be a fucking NEET, then i had to become a wagie when that was over with. good times, i miss it.

I was in 7'th grade during covid and those were best years of my life, I literally spent all days goofing around in minecraft and getting known with internet I was retard anyway so it did not change much but thankfully I go now to college so I am smurt ヽ(´∇`)ノ

I feel so frustrated, people claiming how fun and awesome lockdown was, i am jealous of you all! As not all countries had it - in fact, i still went to fukking work everyday as it was nothing. Sure, there was so regulations and changes, but i STILL WENT TO WORK!

fortunately i was an adult when covid happened and spent 95% of my time inside, having fun or outside disregarding lockdown mandates.

I was only 9-10 years during the pandemic so I don't remember much but I did get withdrawn from private school (all girls) and when it ended I was sent to a shitty public school..
