>cachyOS
any good? I've been seeing it a lot lately
>>
I've no experience of running arch standalone, so using Cachy was very user friendly as it does all teh work for you while installing Arch. You choose which desktop environments etc. If you run Nvidia it can pre-install all graphics-rec etc. It has a great software depositor thought a "cachy software" (which i never use as i like AUR & pacman) etc. It's fast and fun!

How would one add colors ascii into terminal? I added a .txt file into fastfetch which usally just bootup Cachy logo.

I'm actually using Tribblix, a distribution of Illumos which was forked from OpenSolaris after oracle bought Sun Microsystems and killed it. It says SunOS instead of Solaris because SunOS got rebranded into Solaris but the original name stayed in the system. :saitama:

Depends on what you consider old.

I use it on an HP Z220 SFF workstation from 2012. I might change it though because I'm not enjoying the small form factor very much. :dark:

It's not '็ฑณing', it's customization :furious: Heyuri need to ban this word!

One thing linux sucks at: fonts. On microsoft windows fonts always look crisp, meanwhile on linux they are always blurry (just look at OP's pic :gross:). Only after replacing all of the libre fonts with proprietary microsoft ones and changing a bunch of config files did my desktop become slightly useable (most modern webpages render weirdly naow).

>>188516
this is awesome
>>
>>188520
teh word riceing has been used for linux all teh way back in 2000s, but original come from japanese motorcycles or, rather car cultures! but sure, around 2010 its gained more of its popularity as Customization for linux ;3
>>
>>188521
Damnit, this is so true. This is basically the ultimate reason why I don't use linux. It's silly, but it just bugs me. Every font looks off, no amount of tinkering makes them render right.
>>
>>188521
Which MS font are you using? Verdana is pissing me off
>>
>>188547
font rendering on Linux was kneecapped badly due to patent issues years ago

and while the patents aren't a problem anymore, no one has put the effort into making font rendering not suck
