I know this may sound stupid, but I am. I'm not nostalgic in a standard chronological sense, but more so that I feel that that era was a time less "time bubble" that feels independent of any era. In early March, I had The Revelation. And in early April, my cat was in the vet. It was also the eclipse. I remember being outside, and feeling this kind of strange positive but also eerie feeling. A few days later and my cat died.

I thought academia would be cool but my vision of it lied somewhere in the late nineties to mid 2000s. well lately i'm looking back at the charm of 2020-2022 but 2024 was barely a year ago. like yknow it's literally february 2026. when it comes to real nostalgia i'm looking back at 2012-2015 pretty hard at the moment. really good anime came out around then and i remember it was the last time before 2019 where i was actually looking in awe at the rising quality of anime by JC staff and such. like they looked so fucking and the style of Hennneko reviving moe properly was such an adorable sight to behold.
but 2024 was definitely the start of another era and we're in the middle of that era. idk what definition of nostalgia there is that would apply to "REMEBER A YEAR AGO??" unless you entered middle school in 2024 or something lol that'd be crazy an you should go back to watching nickelodeon or whatever lol
