I think he's directed more movies than TV shows at this point :sweat2:

I watched it before I ever knew him as the EVA guy actually. It was pretty decent. Doesn't really remind me of EVA or any of his work at Gainax to be honest though. It was a lot more down to earth.

to be fair, i am not relly a a huge fan of either eva or anno - while i do think he's really skilled at his craft. I want to watch teh movie due to he - being teh director and to see how he would manage to direct another media besides anime.

I found his profile on letterbox and was surprised to see how much else he had made - way way more irl stuffs than anime. :nyaoo2:

I watched it a while ago, I liked it.
I don't watch much 3D stuff, so my opinion might be born of ignorance, but it's my favourite movie in terms of aesthetics.

i read that it's rather sad? It's true? I should watch it as I really like melancholic themes.

I been watching a lot of movies past month, about 10-15 movies (゚ー゚) Based on pure speculation, i suppose you might also like fallen angels. It's visually stunning movie with rather isolated characters or Chungking Express.

it is quite melancholic but it ends positively
