What kind of technology has been your companion for a long period of your life?

I've had a 16 GB Sandisk usb drive since 2013, flashed it repeatedly with shit and yet it still works. I since bought another, but i keep losing one or the other in my room, so i end up using either one for stuff still. I'm amazed how helpful its been despite USB flash drives being notorious for killing themselves with prolonged usage.

That I still regularly use? Probably my speakers, which I got in 2007. If an electric guitar counts as technology, I've been playing the same one since 2006

That I own in general (and not including items from before my time or that I inherited)? I've still got the Sidewinder joystick from our family Windows 95 PC and a wide variety of gadgets & gizmos from my childhood circa the late-90s onward. I'm not one for getting rid of things :sweat2:

we've had a gaming laptop transfer hands to about three people in the family and its going on a decade now
many years of balls-to-the-wall gaming, CAD work, and general browsing
the thermal paste has not been replaced in eons
the fan doesn't work anymore
it is still in use

>>
my current laptop is from end of 2014, start of 2015 (・∀・)
my current PS2 is from 2008 maybe
>>
made me realize that i've replaced most electronics i've had over the past 6 or so years (;´Д`)

I guess some Logitech USB keyboard my family got in 2010 for the desktop PC, but now only I use it exclusively for playing danmaku (so my laptop's keys don't wear out too much, and by this point I'm too used to it that I don't perform as good without it).
