Hello /b/. I’m planning to create a website inspired by Japanese imageboards like Futaba Channel. Could you share some similar sites I could reference while developing it?
>>
Surely if u loev them so much to be inspired by them, u already know more than one... are u just trying to get us to give you Japanese imageboard links?
>>
It's fine to ask :nyaoo-closedeyes:
Here is an imageboard you can draw inspiration from OP. It's mostly used by very old men though

Maybe. Maybe not…hehe.

How very original of you. Let me guess, will it also try to recreate the atmosphere of the "old internet"?

Why yes! How did you know? :glare:
>>
>> 159445

Actually, no. I’m creating something completely new, only inspired by the idea of community.

And to prevent any confusion or impersonation, I’ll be using a tripcode .

a lot of sites exist like this already, and most of them are deserted. heyuri's community is a rare exception, and it only exists because of the hard work of users and staff trying to keep it alive.
before you spend all that time making the site, you ought to ask yourself, "what will make my community thrive where a hundred others have died of inactivity?"
that will save you some frustration later on.
>>
im honestly just curious of how you're going to plan on host it

Yer right!!! sustaining a community is the real challenge. I’ve been thinking about ways to encourage engagement and keep it active, not just launch a site. I wanna focus on creating something that ppl will genuinely want to participate in, rather than letting it fade like so many others.

I’m still finalizing the details, but I plan to use a reliable hosting setup that can handle the traffic and features I want for the site.
